annual turnover of the sector is 10 billion dollars.
Exports also exceeded $3.2 billion annually
number of countries to which defense products are exported reaches 170

2021 Targets and Achievements
Emphasizing that the targets set last year were largely achieved, Demir stated that they achieved 80 percent of the 40 targets shared in 2021.
Pointing out that the air defense systems Hisar A and Hisar O systems were delivered to the Turkish Armed Forces with all their elements,
Deliveries of Sungur portable air defense systems have started.
Demir said that the test firings of the long-range air defense system SİPER were successfully carried out.

Abut 2022 Expectations
Demir stated that in addition to the completion of projects that started in the past, 2022 will be a year in which new systems will be delivered to the security forces and new projects will begin according to the needs. HÜRJET will leave the hangar and ground tests will begin. Mini UAV-D systems and mini UAV BOYGAs that drop ammunition will be put into use for the first time. Bayraktar TB3 SİHA, capable of landing and taking off on ships with short runways, will make its first flight. Our A400M fleet of 10 aircraft will be completed by the delivery of the last A400M aircraft. " said.
Emphasizing that they expect it to be a year in which many new systems in electronic warfare and radar will be activated, Demir said, "Systems such as the Early Warning Radar System, Low Altitude Radar System, Portable Electronic Attack Systems will be made available to our security forces. In addition, the Development of Electronic Warfare Systems to be Used in Unmanned Aerial Vehicles. We will start the (İHASOJ) Project. Projects that will bring various capabilities to our unmanned aerial vehicles will also be activated. We will start our R&D projects in communication and information technologies, cyber security, various fields. We will launch more than 200 companies within the scope of the Industrial Competency Assessment and Support Program (EYDEP). We aim to support it.” he said.
