Some Info about the TB-2 Procurement by Ukraine.

Since 2019
> 24 TB-2 Delivered

Since 02/2022
> 50 Delivered

Which means around 74 Total Delivered.

Ukrainian MoD had posted on Facebook that the next batch will arrive in July 2022 and that their order is so large, Baykar will be producing just for them.
I was curious about how many exactly and I think their UKR MoD Donation Page is hinting at the targeted number of TB-2s.

View attachment 45724

The Target is 200 Tactical UAVs. TB-2s.

The Current Order from Ukraine is 126 TB-2s from Baykar.

I Previously Calculated that Baykar can produce 180 TB2s/Year

That would be 50 after the start of War and 126 on Order equals 176 TB2 which almost the max capacity of Baykar which means the Ukr MoD wasn't overexaggerating.

If Baykar manages to Deliver all 176 TB-2s this year that would be an Export of around 1 Billions USD.

Poland bought ~30 TB2s and according to contract they have to be delivered in 2022
There are other country also signed contracts in previous year and drones will be deliver in 2022

Therefor you calculation will not happened.
Something must be changed in order to fulfill Ukraine order

How does this one compare to let's say Ceasar from the French?
On paper there are pluses and minuses on both sides.
Basicaly it is the same gun; 39/52 caliber.
French one is fully automatic loader where as Yavuz is semi automatic.
French one in the upgraded version has enhanced armour for protection and there is a 8x8 version . Yavuz also has a 12.7mm gun for self protection.
French howitzer uses more advanced shells such as rocket assisted shells to obtain longer ranges. (55km)
They both have computer assisted fire control systems.
We don’t yet have any info of the purchase of Yavuz by TSK.
But there are over 70 of the Caesar howitzers that are in French forces., and an order for 120 more. But this may include upgrading some of the existing ones as well. Plus 5 other countries already have it in their inventory. (Totalling some 230+ Units)
Ukranian war has proved once more the power, the importance and the effect of having good artillery in your arsenal. The sooner we have them in our inventory the better. You can never have too many of them.

.

imho, CAESAR 8x8 is a better one because of the autoloader, while the other CAESARs are similar with Yavuz

a direct compaeison between CAESAR and YAVUZ sure gives us an idea but what kind of network we are integrating them to should be equally important I belive.

one nice thing about YAVUZ is it can be integrated with ASELSAN ADOP-2000 (Fire Support Automation System-2000)

What is ADOP -2000?

''It is a C4I system that allows the commander to make the necessary plans to fire with the appropriate weapon system and appropriate ammunition at the appropriate time, implement it, and use the fire support elements in the battlefield with maximum efficiency.

'ADOP-2000 provides automation of target detection, command, control and technical fire management functions of the fire support in the battlefield, and the implementation of the fire support in full harmony with other battlefield functional areas.

The ADOP-2000 allows weapons (cannons, mortars and multi-barrel rocket launchers) and target detection radars to be included in the automation of the fire support, while allowing the technical fire management functions to be performed for these weapons. In addition, ADOP-2000 ensures that tasks such as meteorology measurement and topographic ground measurement are performed accurately, precisely and rapidly, and the data obtained are transferred to other systems in digital environment.''

in general , TSK only get the good weapon . Yavuz didn't make it into TSK inventory means it's a bad system or not worth it
Yes, not really worth it as TSK doesn't really have a need for more quicker platform compared to T-155 Fırtına, that's why we have Fırtına 2 instead of Yavuz NG.

Probably Panther 155mm does the job enough for the transportable version.

Turkish armed forces seems to have a weird aversion for auto-loaders for whatever reason.
Well, Fırtına 2 has a fully automatic loading system instead of the semi-automatic used in Fırtına. Maybe they have found out that manual tray loading the 155mm is not easy :D

If I recall correctly, I think the number of TB2 customers/future customers is at 24 (at least). @Zafer, can you help confirm.

Does anyone know/remember the production capacity of both TB2 and Akinci?

And do you foresee any growth in the production capacity in the near future?

Based on images from Baykar's production facility, experts calculated that they broduced approx. 16 TB2 a month. and from delivery numbers they produce 1 Akinci a month.

BAYKAR needs a new facility at this point, and new technicals.

They have to produce Akıncı and Kızılelma in high numbers

They are building a new factory next to their current facilities. Maybe another member can enlighten us on the progress of that

I wish Aselflir F500C was there to enjoy this TB2 demand-surge. But unfortunately it needs a few more years to contribute in any meaningful numbers. Aselsan is losing the opportunity before Baykar exhausts the demand.
