Probably a case of the UAE military ordering for $5 billion on paper as a publicity stunt and initial investment to kickstart some projects.

Aselsan has more orders. If they are counting orders then Aselsan should've been higher.

That figure includes resale of second hand old Russian equipment as well. So ATM, UAE is mostly reseller and They paying the bills for most of their exports (like Libya) but They are acquiring know how via Big ToT deals and They own many European high tech companies that can transfer know-how to military industry including one of the largest Semi conductor foundries among others.

The Navy received the first Bayraktar strike drone​


The first Bayraktar TB2 drone for the Navy has already been delivered to Ukraine.

This was announced on Thursday, July 15, by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Andriy Taran.

“We are conducting final acceptance tests of the complex at the base. We will get effective surveillance and cover of the coast and waters of the Black and Azov Seas, the possibility of hitting the enemy's surface and ground objects with high-precision means, ” the minister was quoted as saying by his press service.

According to Deputy Defense Minister Oleksandr Myronyuk, the delivery of this complex took place ahead of schedule, Defense Express reports .
For several days at the airport near Nikolaev acceptance tests of all unmanned aerial vehicles which are a part of this complex - rise to the maximum height, check of work of payload and control points proceeded.

Bayraktar TV2 will be put into service by the 10th Naval Aviation Brigade of the Ukrainian Navy , mobile control terminals and spare parts will be transferred together with the UAV. The peculiarity of this complex is that the UAV control stations can be located not only permanently on land or on the chassis, but also on any of the ships of the Ukrainian Navy.

"Our fleet has received an updated version of the Bayraktar TV2 complex, the range of which is 300 kilometers, instead of 150 kilometers as in previous versions," the media wrote.

Bayraktar TV2 will perform reconnaissance operations for the Ukrainian Navy, issue targets, and also defeat the enemy from the air. The Armed Forces of Ukraine have ammunition for such purposes, but also - there is an additional amount of ammunition that can be used for "sea" Bayraktar TV2, says niche media.

"On all UAVs of the Bayraktar TV2 complex, which will be transferred to the Navy of Ukraine, it was decided to apply the image of a seabird of prey, which will be a symbol of the unmanned complexes in the Naval Aviation of the Navy," added Defense Express.

Technology transfer from MKE AS to Jordan​

Machinery and Chemical Industry (MKE) AŞ will export to Jordan by using its capabilities in ammunition and machinery production.​

According to the information obtained by the AA correspondent, MKE AŞ, which operates in the defense industry in weapons, ammunition, rocket-explosive and chemical, machinery and material groups, put the cartridge line, which was established in May 2020 with domestic and national resources, into operation at the Gazi Fişek Factory took. In the last period, delegations from friendly and allied countries visited the facility.

At the end of the negotiations, a contract for the "Cartridge Shooting-Assembly & Bullet and Shell Production Lines Supply and Installation Project" was signed between MKE AŞ and Jordan Jordan Design and Development Bureau (JODDB) company for the installation of a similar line.

With the production line to be established within the scope of the project, a significant production capacity of shells and shells will be reached to be presented to Jordanian security forces. In fact, annual production of 30 million shells (5.56mmx45, 7.62mmx51, 7.62mmx39 and 9mmx19), annual production of 30 million rounds (7.62mmx51 M80, 5.56mmx45 SS109/M193, 7.62mmx39 M67, 9 mmx19), annual 20 million spelling/assembly ( 7.62mmx51 M80 Cartridge, 7.62mmx39 M67 Cartridge, 5.56mmx45 SS109/M193) will be held.

The works covering the provision of necessary equipment for production and production/assembly capacities, establishment of production lines, technology transfer, technical assistance, information package documentation and training, and 3-month pilot production under the supervision of MKE AŞ will be spread over a period of 103 weeks.

All benches to be installed under the contract will be of domestic production.

MKE AŞ aims to increase its competitiveness and become a global player in the defense industry after becoming a joint stock company. The contract signed for Jordan is important in terms of establishing and developing modern production lines and transferring technology abroad, in addition to the export of finished products.
