If im not mistaken morocco went for canadian cats at the time when canada stopped exporting their cats to turkey, however who knows what they will use.

Kaplan is one sexy tank that would supplement MBTs and IFVs along with APC's.
Turkey has lots of old tanks I think the Kaplan easily surpasses them but it wont fill the MBT role as that is for the Altay.
Medium and Light tanks making a comeback is a great thing in general for tanks as they can do roles while the heavy fighting is for the MBT role.
For heavy tank fans sorry heavy tanks are good as dead due to them being too heavy, complex and expensive a lot of their roles have already been fulfilled due to MBTs.
I think technology played a role in the obsolence of heavy tanks. Your MBTs and Medium tanks can be equipped with the latest tech. Heavy tanks also stand no chance against a Atgm.

There was a MRSAM project between Aselsan and PGZ. But it's cancelled unfortunally.
