Why are our borders left open? Where are our troops? The Turkish military well and truly has its hands tied. Instruct TSK to do something and it will do it. Right now we are just letting our troops get hit in Syria with basically no retaliation, meanwhile we are completely leaving our border with Iran exposed. The Turkish military needs to be taken out of this governments control, if you think otherwise then you have your head buried in the sand.

Today, Saturday, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu will pay an official two-day visit to Algeria, at the invitation of his Algerian counterpart Ramtane Lamamra. In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated, “At the invitation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad, Ramadan Lamamra, Mevlut Cavusoglu, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey, will embark today on an official visit to Algeria that will last for two days. The statement added that this visit comes within the framework of regular political consultations between the two countries, which are committed to the Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation since 2006. On this occasion, the two ministers will conduct a comprehensive review of the state of bilateral relations, which has been characterized by a positive dynamic, under the leadership of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune and his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan, which resulted in a high-level political dialogue and significant progress in economic cooperation between the two countries. The two parties will also discuss major regional and international issues of common interest, with the aim of enhancing consultation and coordination.

Israeli Ministry of Defense (IDF): I reached out to the Turkish Defense Attaché and the Turkish Ministry of Defense with an offer to send an Internal Front Command delegation to Turkey. The mission will provide search and rescue assistance in light of the catastrophic floods that have already claimed dozens of lives.

Hm....
Are they trying to force a new deal out of ERDO?
I mean..... he would be an idiot to do so
Turkey gained nothing from the previous EU deal; they didnt even deliver their promise of updating the trade agreements
We need to learn that Europe isnt a true ally during the toughest times
They will always be ready to give priority to themselves and betray the others

Moreover, it seems that the EU is also interested in the airport which might indicate clashes with Turkey in the Future

Military cooperation and military financial cooperation deals were signed with Ethiopia.

Details unavailable but usually the first step for exports. Like in Albania or other countries.

My bet is on drones and other advanced technology. The Ethiopian president is in some hot water and I dont think that we've seen the end of the conflict.

The main disagreement on the Muslim Brotherhood died down because they aren’t in power anywhere anymore,” the third official said.

When you're betting on the loosing horse for a decade now and still somehow come up on top.
Well, Ikhwan isn't dead though. Coups may be good in the short term but they are devastating in the long term. Remember what created Erdo? Turkish coups. Similarly, Sisi won't be in power in Egypt forever give it a decade and Ikhwan will return even more powerful. I don't like Ikhwan ideologically but i will work with anyone who supports Turkish interests even with the Taliban. When Saudi Arabia and UAE cut the funding to Egypt people will revolt in Egypt. UAE did a successful coup in Sudan guess what happened? The same government UAE put to work in Sudan expanded the agreements with Turkiye that are signed by the government before the coup and even signed new deals on top of those. You can get cash from UAE but you can't get expertise in industrialization, education, healthcare, infrastructure, agriculture, defense industry, military training, etc. Turkish investments in Sudan are big and unlike other countries, we are teaching them not only how to fish but also how to set up a fish farm.

Why Istanbul? Unless AKP and RTE is planning to move the capital back to Istanbul. Considering who we’re talking about that isn’t unrealistic.
