8x8 truck to carry containers?

What difference will it have to the earlier 65 armored trucks that Koluman delivered?

Did Koluman completed all the deliveries? Maybe they purchased the new version of Koluman shown on IDEF 21.

> As far as I know there haven't been any deliveries until now.

Noting that Derman, which was produced to NATO standards, entered the inventory of the TAF in the first place, Saltık noted that they aim to start the delivery of 65 vehicles to the TAF in the second half of 2022, after the prototype production and development process is completed."

> And their 6x6 Vehicle will be ready in 2022.

Stating that R&D studies on Derman vehicles continue uninterrupted, Kaan Saltık stated that their goal is to make the 6x6 wheeled Derman ready for mass production in 2022, after 8x8. Saltık said, “Our primary goal is to complete the Derman vehicle family as we planned. Next year, our 6x6 vehicle will be on the market with our soft-cab and ballistic protected model.”

Why on earth, the big vehicle companies don’t buy the smaller ones to establish a giant company? Imagine Otokar would buy BMC, or FNSS would buy Tumosas or Katmeciker. It would bring advantages only.

You can't make such takeovers without Erdo giving the green light. I'm not joking, I'm serious.

Such moves are regulated by governments in other countries too. Lockheed Martin was created by orders of US government same for the Russians they ordered all of their military aviation companies to join in one, big companies are of critical importance for countries of course they will regulate them.

There are monopoly laws that prevent such things from taking place. Every now and then when a company gets to big or starts monopolizing a certain Market the government has to step in from keeping it from becoming uncompetitive and unfair. Capitalist countries tend to suffer from such problems if they remain unregulated. Technically Koc, Nurol and TAI could buy out their entire competition with ease.

We would have 3 big companies. No monopoly out there.

I'm not talking about monopoly laws without Erdo giving the green light no company can purchase another one if they are bigger than a certain size and in a critical sector. Ethem Sancak could have easily earned more money by selling his shares to the highest bidder but he sold it to Tosyalı for a price Erdo decided.

Again these kinds of things happen all over the world, don't think western countries are innocent, but when they do it is called "market regulation" , when somebody they don't like does it they call it dictatorship

I don't think companies that aren't able to export their products should be permitted to live for too long. it's important the products are of good quality and gets picked by foreign armies and we can keep this going.

As such I don't see the necessity of having too many truck companies doing the same. Like it was pointed out BMC was doing quite well with Trucks after so many years, and they probably still could.

IMO old design was sexier, especially the unique design of windows. It was one of my fav 4x4s.. New one looks like generic or lighter version of Ejder 4x4.. Gladly Qatar have some. May be it is easier to produce this version or it is more reliable. On last IDEF, unfortunately armored vehicles became uglier.
