Poor Greeks PM went all the way to Libya. Thinking he could pressure them into dropping their partnership with Turkey just to be humiliated and sent home. Not only that the Libyan PM hops on a plane a week later and comes to Turkey to gossip and make fun him. Poor Greek Twitter and its wanna be experts are losing their minds since last week already this will make some of them go over the edge. They really thought they could force Libya to drop their partnership with Turkey.

Turkey is literally king maker right now in Libya. Anyone who wants to have a future in the country needs to have seat at our table first.

That’s why the comments from the non elected Italian PM were so dumb. If Turkey wants it can talk Libya into dropping every single partnership and contract it has with Italy and have them be replaced with Turkish companies. 🤣

What were they thinking? XD
Although I am familiar with the Greek mentality of everyone must help and support them, that is sth that goes for European countries. Why would Libya after all the support Greece gave to Haftar turn on Turkey in favor of Greece?

This was too optimistic even for Greeks XD!

Arrogance. Greece has an overinflated view of its self. Other countries need to put aside their own interests and do everything that serves Greece.

US needs to gift them Destroyers,Planes and Armored Vehicles without asking for anything in return because they are Greece.

France needs to sell them high tech frigates for cheap and even loan them some of their newest frigates for no additional cost until the ordered ships have been built. Not only that France needs to invest and modernize their shipyards and built the ships in Greece. And ask nothing in return.

Germany needs to hurt its own economy and put economic sanctions on Turkey for Greece. How dare they not do this.

Brits need to cut their partnerships and relations with Turkey!

Why all this?

Because Greece demands it, can’t they see that the paragon of the civilized world is fighting of the big bad Turks who want to invade Europe?

Who cares that it hurts those countries as long as the Greeks can gain an advantage over Turkey they should do it without asking questions.

Ever since Westerners made Greeks the cradle of Western Civilisation has created an entitlement mentality to the Greeks.

That assessment is to optimistic. Libya's economic future depends on selling its gas and oil to Europe and especially Italy, gas/oil concessions allready made to European countries (even in Gaddafi s era) are still binding and will be honoured and last, but not least, Libya owes its freedom to countries like France who spearhead the intervention against Gaddafi. You should wait for the elections before celebrating your position in Libya, as it stands today the country is still divided with most of the gas exports blockaded by Haftar .

Gas and oil mean nothing when most of Libyas population lives in territories under the GNA.

Also to sell the gas and oil they have to go through the GNA to even sell it.

There is a reason why Haftar wanted Tripoli and Mistrata.

True....but Libya s main market is Italy.Largest investors in Libya s gas are, by far,ENI and TOTAL,followed by OMV and someSpanish company. I'm willing to bet that no future Libyan Government will change this .

It's pointless trying to change their mind... Let them live in their own fantasy world 😂

Has a tacky feel to it imho. Looks like something from Madam Tussaud’s. And the mounted welcoming procession is a bit try-hard. No one does that stuff as good as the Poms.
Move on.

What does Greece plan to do when Erdogan goes?

You know the entire situation we have right now with you guys is because Erdogan is at odds with Al-Sisi because of his personal ikhwanist obsessions. Sisi and Arabs as a whole dont like Erdogan to interfere with their inner policies and because of this Sisi refrains from making a deal with Turkey.

What are you going to do once Erdogan leaves and Egypt makes a deal with us? Will it worth all the indebtment for all those weapons you bought?

Why are you so sure that the next turkish government will continue with the same faulty policies? And what makes you think that Sisi will change the agreement with Greece?

1) Ikhwanism is Erdogans obsession. Right now all the polls show that Chp is going to win in the next elections. Chp always criticised Erdogans ikhwanist policies and his desire to be involved in inner-Arab affairs.
2) Sisi even in Erdogans reign gave enough signs that they are willing to make peace with Turkey but their condition is for Turkey to stop supporting ikhwanism.
3) Making deal with Turkey is a lot more profitial than making deal with Greece. We already know the bureucracy in Egypt actually talks with Sisi on this issue.
