A senior STM official said during an interview at IDEF that the conceptual design idea of the submarine came from a foreign country. As negotiations over the project continue, the details and characteristics of the boat may change in line with the requirements of the end user.

wouldn't tf-4500 frigate that was shown by stm in IDEF 2017 would fill the gab between istanbul class and tf2000 ? its actually fitting the requirements for TN that was shown by one of the members here .

TF-4500-01.png

also from what i understand that TN signed last year on august for 22-18 fast attack craft choosing FAC-55 by stm . so did it changed or what ?

They did not choose FAC-55, in fact SSB has chosen STM as design contractor and signed to contract to work on the concept and now Navy PKO works with the STM on Turkish FAC. FAC-55 only demonstrates the design criterias of the Navy.

Concept wise yes, but TF-4500 hasn't had sufficient attention from TN. And i think Turkish Navy design office and armerkom would like to create the concept and then out-source the jobs when needed.

I have listed the total production units as the general target, bro, so I wrote Tf2000 as 4+4 but it is a very good list for the year 2035. In addition to 10 FACs (you wrote 14 FAC), new type of 6/7 FAC+ is a information or expectation bro? Btw, 6 Tf100 is logical number since Turkish fleet need expansion.
And no AC?
Your list shows a Green Water Navy.

FERSAH Sonar System development activities started in 2018, will be integrated into BARBAROS class frigates (TCG BARBAROS, TCG ORUÇREİS, TCG SALİHREİS and TCG KEMALREİS) in addition to the I-Class Frigate (TCG İSTANBUL).

I'm little bit confused with TF-100 class.

TF-100 class consists of F515, doesn't it?
So if we call F515 it means TF-100 class?

Think of it this way, every new warship building project is being built to replace an existing fleet. Capacity increase and fleet growth also take place in this context. I class will replace the Yavuz class frigates. The Tf2000 will do the work of the 8 perry class, but a frigate will be required to replace the Barbaros MLU when its service term expires. We call it Tf100. The name may change in the future but in the end, this is how the mechanism works. @Anmdt

It's because some subsystems are not ready yet such as VLS and its missiles. Originally there would be Mk41 but due to the US sanctions, we are developing our own.

I understand that some subsytem delay the project but hope they can speed it up when they have everything ready. The chinese built 80 navy ships in 8 years.. probably because they have everything ready, and have a good budget to.

Not the subsystems but the project managements, the project budgets are allocated one by one, thus orders made one by one, the contract stage keeps getting longer. You can not compare anyone to china, a country which allocates budget of flotilla at once and orders everything necessary at once. Their technique is not feasible to anyone but only them.
