A good question to experts ;

1- In the official sources aip range of type-214 is 2310 km and they have 19.300 km total range surfaced. So that's mean sub going 2310 km after that they need shnorkeling and after that they can again can go 2310 km until they reach 19300 km in the total without refuiling ?

Or

They can just 2310 km go and after that they can finishes his aip charge and they need to go with diesel engine alone.

Although I'm not an expert , it is very easy question.

"Siemens has developed a 30–50 kilowatt fuel cell unit, a device that converts the chemical energy from a fuel and oxidiser into electricity. Fuel cells differ from batteries in that they require a continuous source of fuel (such as hydrogen) and oxygen, which are carried in the vessel in pressurized tanks, to sustain the chemical reaction. Nine of these units are incorporated into Howaldtswerke Deutsche Werft AG's 1,830 t submarine U-31, lead ship for the Type 212A of the German Navy. The other boats of this class and HDW's AIP equipped export submarines ( Dolphin class, Type 209 mod and Type 214) use two 120 kW (160 hp) modules, also from Siemens.[16"

Asfat is working on with the building of two Offshore Patrol Vessels for TN. (It is expected that the total number could be around 10 ships altogether when the project is complete). As the ships are based on Ada Class, they will have stealth characteristics.
There are two very important points within the statements made by the Ministry of Defence;
1. The ships are going to have a modular structure. They will have positions and provisions to add weapons and augment the vessels’ firepower at a short time. Stand-alone they come with a 76mm main gun and a couple of 12.7mm guns. But there is provisions for Anti ship missiles (Atmaca), CIWS (MKE and/or Gokdeniz-ER , Gokdeniz), even VLS capability and torpedoes. All necessary sensors can also be added very quickly due to this modular structure .
2. Because of the amount of indigenous parts used in the manufacturing processes, the cost of the ships will be 40% below the expected allocation of budget.

There is a good article on the type214 subs we are building shared below. A lot of the points are answered there.
I wouldn’t take standard specs given in wiki and other sites as gospel. Since, if you investigate and do a little calculation you will find a lot of discrepancies in the figures quoted.
Also remember that Type 214 TN is quite different to standard 214. It is longer and designed and built to Turkish specs. For example one of the most important things on board these subs are the Metal Hydride tanks and Oxygen tanks. There are normally 6 rows of these metal hydride tanks on each side in a standard type-214. But Turkish subs have 7 rows of each, increasing hydrogen holding capacity. The Liquid Oxygen Tank capacity is increased as well. These improve the amount of time the sub can stay submerged.
(Also please note that the surfaced 19300km range, is the range given at snorkelling depth, with a speed of 4 knots. That means 110 days of sailing. Yet the sub‘s maximum sailing is given as 12 weeks/84 days)

A AIP submarine also has batteries. This answer the most.
When AIP sources run out, it can still operate as a diesel-electric sub, AIP only gives one-shot submerged range or to extend submerged navigation duration provided by the batteries.

My new obsession is STM's 500 ton mini submarine. I wonder if they will use lithium ion batteries in the new sub.
So you won't need bulky and dangerous pressured hydrogen, oxygen tanks. Japanese has already made new sub with lithium ion batteries which doubled range,speed and lifecycle of batteries.

Recharging lead batteries is too long also you can't recharge them submerged as charging causes toxic gases.

@Anmdt Dear again me asking:)
What do you think about Italian DG-160 midget submarine design? It could dive 150 meter with 9 crew and carries 2 torpedoes. It has great range also thanks to midget weight to hard to detect.

AFAIK , in the heavy sea conditions, 150 meter deep is enough to avoid storms for submarines ? So 160 ton midget submarine would be reliable and effective for Turkish Navy?

They could complete FAC and Patrol roles without being noticed.

Postwar ERA German Subs weighted 500tons.
New lithium ion battery technology would bring great opportunities for midget submarines.

Possibly one of the rare incidents where press have been forbidden to take pictures, at the delivery of A-591, TCG Ufuk. The photos will be released by DzKK to the press.

STM500 doesn't make sense without Li-Ion, the smaller subs will rise again as Li-Ion technology matures. This can be foreseen easily.

160 tons submarine rather fits for smaller navies or for use with a mothership through a moon-pool. TN might use it, but again TN would rather use this as a SOF submarine.

There is an ongoing project which i have earlier mentioned about, a TKY project by SSB focuses on contract stage of a multi-purpose submarine design that is nearly equal to DG-160 in tonnage an capacity. It can be used as a SOF submarine, armed-midget submarine, civilian submarine and finally as a test submarine.

Mr Erdogan: We now have the Vertical launch system to be used on Istif class frigates.
Istif is going to take of vertically ? :p
4x I class by 2025 if we start parallel construction this year.
I want the first delivered and accepted by TN before celebrating the others :) not much I'm asking for, just one please.

By 2022-2023, The Turkish industry will simultaneously construct TTFAC, 500ton submarines, Hisar class OPV (4x Hisar VLS), Istif class frigates(16x MIDAS VLS), Reis class submarines and Tf2000 destroyers(64x MIDAS VLS) for the Turkish Navy.

Milden and TT Aircraft carrier projects will probably start around 2024-25.

This is what happens when you provoke the Turks

This is all attributed to the local defence industry .. hence the state which has local industry can get its own need with low prices and without restrictions of global powers and their " regional power balance"
