It is an enlarged, scaled-up TB2. PD-180 engine, 1200kg MTOW, foldable wings, more durable landing gears.

Auto-generated subtitles work pretty well, Ekber Onuk talks smooth and with good sentences.
There are a few surprises, watch well.

One of them, MRTP 55 , as told by Ekber Onuk to be his last project*, with 76 mm main gun, 8 Anti-Ship missiles, 26 Crew, he didn't imply anything about the CIWS but it is definitely present. He has implied the signature is closing in and seem to be a foreign customer. He implied it goes beyond 50 knots just by diesel engines.
He also told the boat transits into planning mode after 50 knots, it means the boat will reach ~60 knots at maximum.

*He will leave the active career, possibly will go on as an advisor. I can't really say he will ever get an actual retirement.

Second surprise, unmanned vessel/s (might be submerged, might be surface, might be semi submersible) is being worked on, in cooperation with other major companies (my guess goes: aselsan for automation-CMS, Roketsan for payload) , he has told to wait 6-7 months to reveal)

Really a shame his son past away at such a young age!

Very interesting article. Worth reading.
But the last statement is the killer punchline:
Having had her first submarine in 1888 to balance the power projection in the sea of Islands , Turkey now, after 133 years later is taking a step to add to her inventory a weapon that will alter the balance of power so much that it will deter and restrict altogether the presence of submarines in the sea of islands with ASW ULAQ.

It's big step forward for Turkey's capability for sure. Congrats to Turkey. There is lot here to research further for Turkey in how they plan and network the sensoring for optimal regime of use.

Nice article but they have gone far at some parts:
Note the comment for this part ***"Ares and Meteksan are companies developing systems rapidly, they may not await for Orka and offer a new light weight torpedo"
They are either not aware SSB has given the task to Roketsan as the major contractor aided by others (Aselsan/Tubitak). And moreover they believe a LWT can be developed in a short time by companies with zero experience (one of them which a shipyard) on torpedoes.***

Another point, Tubitak has the major contribution on Yakamos sonar. Meteksan is more on the production, certification and integration. They have claimed Meteksan has designed and made it.

The rest is quite nice.

***Sorry for this part, i haven't read the source by details and misinterpreted it as Ares/Meteksan was expected to develop a LWT. In fact they have written "integration of LWT avaliable in inventory"

Alright guys, fingers crossed.. :)

So, did SSB leak a future procurement, intentionally?
@Combat-Master looks like it uses korkut-iha on the poop deck.
@Test7 i am excited about this and making some calls right now please add Defencehub stamp :)
This reminds me the boat which Ekber Onuk has mentioned in the last interview, the boat seems to be composite and around 55 meters.
View attachment 21530
76mm
2x12.7 mm RCWS
Korkut-iha,
2x4 SSM
EW Suite
Comm antenna
Probably 3D search radar buried in mast
AKR-D Block-A
360 degree bridge

If they intend to replace retired Kartal class with this and Doğan/Kılıç-Class with FAC55, this is awesome.
Deleted the source, let others search and find it :p

Unfortunately false alarm, the gun at the stern deck is also a Bofors 40 mm which TN wouldn't order.
@CAN_TR thanks.

@CAN_TR thanks.

Nothing special. Our Shipyards could offer a similar ship in lightspeed if the Navy was interested in buying such a ship. In the end it all falls on the Navy and of course the budget.

Like you already said, we have the subsytems for it.
