"CB Communications Head Altun:

It is our historical and humanitarian responsibility to protect those who took refuge in our country to save their lives.

They are trying to create an atmosphere of chaos in Turkey through immigration policy."

So they are dissmissing what 85 million Turk is wanting? Looks like immigrants are the first class citizen now.

UPDATE: New arrivals from Pakistan to Turkey. Look at the geography they came from, they seem to be coming out of Mordor.
I have a question:

Why don't some angry Turkish nationalists grab a couple of rifles, head to the border and start shooting?

It's not even some call to violence or whatever, I'm just genuinely surprised nobody has tried beating Simo Hayha's sniper record except with illegal migrants instead of Russian soldiers given how vicious the general attitude towards migrants in Turkey is getting. And unlike Russian soldiers, Afghans and Pakistanis can't shoot back.

Forget rifles, you could probably get 150-200 kills per day easy with a scope-mounted LMG.

OK, those last lines were probably a joke too far.

With so many nationalists and football hooligans in the country nobody can get organized to form some squads and give these perverts a teste of some good ol' ultraviolence? Start with these Tik Tok stars first. Beat the shit out of 2-3 of them, tie them naked on the street and piss on them. It is so simple.

What a reasonable thing to say, lets advocate for self-justice and turn this country into even a bigger banana republic.

There's only one solution: police work and government. Vote accordingly, the last thing we need is mobs running around in our cities akin to pogroms.

Another refugee statement from Erdogan:

"As long as we are in this position, you will not be able to send these brothers back from this country. All Syrian Afghans who hear this should feel safe"

"The Directorate of Migration Management of the Ministry of Interior filed a criminal complaint against the Chairman of the Victory Party, Ümit Özdağ, for his statements about asylum seekers." :D? @TheInsider check this out

That is great. I sincerely hope Ümit Özdağ gets jailed. This will skyrocket the popularity of Ümit Özdağ and the Zafer Party. Whoever advised this to the ministry of interior must be a covert agent for Ümit Özdağ.

Numbers are one problem, the other problem is the type of people.

The average Turk until now had no idea how culturally, mentally and socially different Turkey and Turks are from the average Afghan and Pakistani. At best, the nearest interaction they had 10, 5, 3 years ago was in a taxi or restaurant and confused Turkish hospitality as an out of jail card. I used to warn Turks here on the green forum years ago, that Pakistanis and Turks can never be brothers and was banned multiple times for this. I warned, when Afghans and Pakistanis come to Turkey, other peoples will look civilised.

I am glad Turkish people are coming to realise this now. Unfortunately, with this growing trend the same average Turk will not be able to differentiate other South East Asians from Pakistanis and Afghans. Had we had the same number of “other” Asians as we did Pakistanis and Afghans we would not have anything near this problem. These two groups are notorious for the kind of crimes we are seeing today.

Here is the underlying problem….

I see the PeeDF going crazy right now about Turks being “nationalists” you should see the comments and propaganda they are peddling about Turkish DNA and “national” identity. Why now? Because Turk masses have woken up to what a toxic nation Pakistan is and rightly want nothing to do with it.

They whitewash crimes committed by their own people by victim blaming and shaming, they ignore that there is an underlying problem with their nation but prefer to blame Turks for being nationalists, Europeans for being racist, Indians for spreading “propaganda” about Pakistan because they want an invitation to commit their sexual crimes, culture and zealotry in places where it is unacceptable.

I saw past Pakistani “brotherhood” in the early days, we could never be brothers with these zealots who were giving sermons that the 1999 earthquake in Turkey was “gods punishment on secular Turks”.

When you see past the “ummah” lip service they use to gain sympathy, they start projecting insecurities by calling you “secular”, “not Muslim enough” this is the problem, they have a resentment and jealousy, a resentment for anything “modern”, “different” and more successful than them because these groups feel entitled, notice how the same “ummah” Pakistanis talk about Afghans, butchered Bengalis, hate Indians? also talk about racism from Turks now.

Reality is these people (Afghans, Pakistanis) have a confused culture, confused religion, confused history, confused identity, a confused concept of nationalism, even the secular Pakistanis are cringe as the zealots, they claim IVC while denying they are a part of the larger Indian civilization. I wont derail the thread but this is an artificial state, that we will be hearing more in the future with conflicts and civil wars. It is best intellectuals in Turkey, and the government prepares itself for the influx of these trolls 20, 30, 50, years from now.

Why is it that Turks are quick to generalize? When they see a Muslim doing something bad - they blame the religion. When they see a person from another country doing something bad - they blame the country. But, when a Turk does something bad, they don't blame the entirety of Turkey, why?

Do you have the source of where Erdogan made this statement?

There is historical interactions between Pakistani people and Turks no doubt but it seems they think that makes us the same. I think they have a terrible misconception of our country and more often then not think the former Ottoman Caliphate still spiritually./ideologically existing within our borders. We are a secular republic with an ever increasing population that is rejecting religion or at least not basing their entire identity on it, which is fundamentally in stark contrast to Pakistani identity. That socio-cultural gap has simply become far to big and I think both Turks and Pakistani did not realize it until this very moment.

Now lets also be realistic here, there is a lot of Anti-immigrant sentiments sweeping our society no doubt but lets not get lost in the xenophobic and racist thought processes here. Lets be constructive and pragmatic about it. No doubt there are many of them who are productive members of our society and contribute in so much positives ways, but this mind boggling amount of refugees/immigrants is simply unsustainable. Western countries had the advantage that people came in waves and had job opportunities ready for them. Assimilation and integration was largely successful but Turkey does not have that luxury, plain and simple.

Seriously though I am so tempted to vote for Umit Ozdag even though much of what he says is rhetoric and throwing fuel on the fire. I need Turkish politicians to take this seriously and bring out concrete plans to dealing with it.

This is a misconception. The masses in Pakistan do not consider Turks the same as Pakistanis. Who has told you this? I don't understand. We are proudly Pakistanis.

Apparently, a Turkish Twitter source that labels itself as "unbiased" is spreading more fake news. Labels this harasser as "foreign" when it turns out he is Turkish.
Nope the guy was yemeni. Are you trying to post Disinformation?

None of the pakistani videos emerged from Turkiye was fake stop trying to spread disinformation about that too.

Pakistan itself is a diverse country from its own ethnic groups as you have Punjabis, Kashmiris, Balochis and Sindhs.

Does make sense to base your identity on religion.

Pakistan's identity has been Islam while India's indentity has always been Hindu hence the break up and partition.

Population exchange between Turkiye and Greece as Religion was used.

Orthodox Turks were kicked out and Muslim Greeks were kicked out of Greece.

Good that they caught the guy. What are the maximum punishments for crimes such as recording without permission in Turkey?
