Step at a time, all spacecraft components are comming along - another 10 years at this rate and we may see Turkish satellites around planets of our solar system.
Bro, do you know if there's a project for developing spacecraft heat shield for atmospheric re-entry?

I know its a 2013 article but it seems the Turkish armed forces has a space force that is under the command of the Turkish Air force rather than being its own branch.

Really interesting to be honest as I never knew this.

Turkey's space program continues at full speed

TUBITAK Space Technologies Research Institute (SPACE), local and national as designed and produced the first communications satellite Turksat 6 with local and national as having developed the first metrealt resolution satellite as well to continue their İMECE projects as providing the contribution Turkey to achieve their goals in the space field.

TÜBİTAK UZAY Acting Director Assoc. Dr. Mesut Gökten, in a statement to the AA correspondent, emphasized that the Institute continues its cost-effective, value-added activities and projects for innovative and highly domestic satellite-space technologies and applications with the experience and infrastructure, equipment and human resources it has gained from RASAT and GÖKTÜRK-2 satellites.

Turkey's domestic and national designed and produced the first communications satellite from the Turksat 6 Project, the sky, indicating that the last two years significant progress driven, "from the satellite to test models of thermal structural adequacy and electrical satellite models were completed and final test model, the engineering model and will be sent into space real production and integration of the satellite flight model has started. " said.

Gökten stated that within the scope of the IMECE Satellite Project, thermal structural qualification, electrical test and antenna test models were successfully produced and test activities continued.

Stating that the designs of the qualification models of the equipment to be used on the satellite, designed and produced locally and nationally, Gökten said, "Their production continues. We aim to realize the flight model integration in 2021." he spoke.

"22 systems are in use for the development of critical optical components"

Gökten reminded that the Optical Systems Research Laboratory (OPMER) was established within the Institute in order to develop optical components needed in many fields, especially satellite technologies, and said that the installation and commissioning processes of 22 systems required for the development of critical precision optical components were completed.

Gökten pointed out that the filter coating and surface micro-patterning processes of the optical unit needed in the experimental solar sensor equipment developed within the scope of the TURKSAT 6A and IMECE Satellite Projects were carried out in OPMER.

"Performance tests of the optical unit have been successfully completed, environmental tests for space qualification are ongoing. In addition, prisms, mirrors, lenses and similar optical components with high surface and form precision, which are needed for electro-optic systems in our country, are also produced in our Institute. Infrastructure process qualification studies for the production of optical components with space qualifications to take place in the domestic and international markets are also continuing. "

"Turkey was very close to the target to be among the countries that can develop critical space technologies"

Heaven, TUBITAK space of Turkey entering the critical space technologies to target the few in the country that can develop between countries to attract attention largely deliver continued as follows:

"Our primary objective, the country's first local and national communications satellite Turksat 6a and the first meters under resolution to be launched after the earth observation satellite IMEC's flight model of production and testing. Turkey is owned satellites both in number as well as to a higher level in terms of technical specifications the project development activities to be brought we continue in coordination with Turkey Space Agency. going forward the proposed projects within the framework of these plans with more advanced imaging system of our country by implementing many will be able to have the new satellite. technologically as soon as the targeted satellite is superior and lower cost for manufacturing We foresee that the images and information obtained from these satellites will be used in many areas in our country. "

Infrastructure and the competence to provide the study as well as the project, the fact that they contribute to the enhancement of trained human resources in the field of space in Turkey that draws from the sky, the needs in accordance with the country's space sector to the National Space Program in a short time, at low cost and that they aim to meet high performance.

Gökten stated that they aim to take part in the world market with the equipment, subsystems and systems developed within the Institute and gained a space history, and emphasized that they will continue to make the necessary contribution to the country's goals in space with the experience gained in current and future satellite projects.

ROKETSAN General Manager Murat İkinci:

"By the end of the year, we will be performing our new missile test in space. The tests of some avionic systems on the thrust, maneuver control and propulsion control systems that we did not try in the previous launch and developed during this period will be done."

"Serious investments are being made to reach the upper targets. We are in a very serious investment program to develop large engines that can reach orbits beyond 400 km in 1-2 years, with domestic and national facilities"

Music to my ears.

Ikinci recalled that they first left the atmosphere initially in 2018, saying “as of the end of this year, we will begin carrying out new experiments.

Impulse systems, maneuver control systems and certain avionics systems mounted on propulsion management systems that we could not try in the previous launch and developed during this period will be tested,” he stressed.

In the next phase, Ikinci continued, the company’s initial goal would be the completion of work that will soon enable the company to mount a 100-kilogram (220-pound) load 400 kilometers (249 miles) above the Earth, bringing Turkey into the small league of countries that can launch their own satellites.

"In the following stages, very serious investments will be made to fulfill high-level goals,” he said, within the scope of a road map kicked off under the coordination of SSB and the Presidency.

I believe it's going to be a space probe
By the way, if it is Roketsan who is working on a moon project then why would they need a foreign launch vehicle? I think they are working on a vehicle? Aselsan and TUBITAK is better choice to develop an explorer. Am I wrong?

If its at a size of a CubeSat, it could be possible to use our own launch vehicle MUFA, I believe. Anything with a serious size needs Şimşek UFA. Considering the time frame launch vehicles will enter service, foreign vehicles can save us time developing satellite tech in the meanwhile.

There is list of current and future moon missions

I don't know if Miguyan speaks of a short term project, that is why I was asking.
