Turkiye as a NATO member have the chance to receive training in the most pristine places where the elite of the elite of NATO Special Operations Forces go to receive and transfer knowledge in order to increase the capabilities of the other ally nations.

The Turkish Special Forces Command (OKK) and the Navy SOF (SAT) have been participating in different courses of the International Special Training Centre in Germany for many years.

Special Forces Command (OKK) personnel receiving ITSC's Advanced Casualty Sustainment Care (ACSC) course. Special Forces Command personnel are receiving the course since 1999.

Turkiye participated not only with trainees, but also with instructors.

Turkish CSAR

Our trainees, who successfully completed the "21st Term Personnel Rescue Basic Training" conducted by our 2nd Main Jet Base Personnel Rescue Training Command in İzmir Çiğli, graduated.

"You will become special! Don't you expect us to treat you like ordinary people. You are not only earning capabilities, your soul and body is being cooked here!"

So other can live!

I think this is the best video edit regarding the training process of any of the Turkish SOF branches. We see such detailed video for the first time ever published by TSK.

I think our Armed Forces need a bit more structure especially regarding SF/SOF units. Instead that the Special Forces Command recruits all the new personel the Commander/Chief of Staff (Land Forces) should try to form a SF branch under the direct command of the Land Forces like the Navy and Air Force. Example: If the Naval Forces need reconnaisance on the ground they can send their own guys (SAT) but if the Land Forces need to do the same they have to rely on the General Staff (Special Forces Command) which is independent and not aligned to any other Command of the Armed Forces, there is always the possible risk of communication/decision problems.

The Special Forces Command under the General Staff should better act more like the US JSOC where the creme de la creme of the various branches come together, train, share their experience, plan and conduct (highly complex) joint operations.
