We are less than a week away from the UEFA Euro 2020 tournament... which thanks to a certain virus from a certain country lead by a certain Winnie the Poo impersonator will take place a year later.

Years ago it was only Turkey that wanted to host the tournament so UEFA got the amazing idea to spread it all around Europe instead. Still 24 nations qualified and all of them have hopes for the tournament.

Which teams you will support and who do you think will win it in the end? Who will flop and which nation you think will be the surprise of the championship?

The opening game is on June 11th at 21:00 CET in Rome between Italy and Turkey.

There is a much bigger chance of Turkey not even making it out of the group phase than to ever win this. Let’s be realistic.

Turkey has some nice players and a very strong defense but it lacks depth and offense.

France, Belgium and Portugal are the favorites... maybe even England might make a strong push this time. 😁

On paper France. Dark horse, Turkey. Hoping to see good things from Lille’s Turkish boys. A focused Turkish team could cause many upsets and with a bit of luck, could go all the way. Do not be surprised with a win over the Azzurri.

If we get a draw and win the other games that would be a great result to pass the group.

But man Italy, Switzerland and Wales are pretty good teams. In many ways our boys are going to fight for wins.

How did the game end? Did Turkey make a Championship Statement? :D
Terrible performance. The Italians exposed all of our deficiencies from tactics/system, individual ability and most importantly belief and desire. I know you’re not shocked, but 3-0 is more than just an expected loss, it’s an embarrassment - I thought we were past this crap. Soğuk duş for me :(

Keep the faith, my brother Turk.

Remember Euro 2008,
Turkey lose in the 1st Group match.
After that, a legendary campaign happen.

Not shocked you say?
Where was the midfield, they played English futbol of the 70's and sucked at that to.
All game one chance(Burak Yilmaz).
Against Wales a tie at best and against the Swiss another cold shower.
This team beat France 2-0 and the Netherlands 4-2,really?

In qualificatioms you played much better, do not know particulars but either italy played extremly good or turkey underperformed, no third explanation for last night debacle, what was obvious there was lack of fanatism and will moment in turkey game by which it is usually recognisable.

Some gala fans have already ramped up their trolling attacks on Senol Gunes.

It has nothing to do with gala fans, you cant play Catenaccio against the inventor of it and expect a result.
He played for a draw and failed miserably.
Turks arent made for defence, they should have attacked.
90 min just one chance is ridiculous.
Maybe they would have lost but not this way.

I was actually going to wake up for this game because in Australia it starts at 5am.

Thank God I missed the alarm so I dont have to watch this disgrace as the highlights were already enough.

Turkey need to play a balance
between offensive & defensive
in their last 2 matches
to have a chance to qualify.
