Joint Light Tactical Vehicle
The U.S. Army today awarded Oshkosh Defense a $888.4 million Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV) contract.
The modification contract covers producing 1,001 trailers; 2,679 vehicles; and 6,725 kits for JLTV vehicles of the Army, Navy, Marine Corps and Air Force. Work will be performed in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, with an estimated completion date of October 31, 2022.
The company also won an additional $23 million modification contract to exercise options to procure vehicles and kits for the JLTV family of vehicles for Brazil, Lithuania and Macedonia. The U.S. Army plans to acquire and field approximately 3,230 JLTVs starting next year to replace its old Humvees.
