The US is sending a significant naval force close to Venezuela, including roughly 16,000 troops, 8 warships, and a nuclear submarine. The aircraft carrier Gerald R. Ford, along with its escort ships, is also moving toward the area.

The large-scale buildup of U.S. military forces in the Caribbean suggests that the Trump administration may be preparing to expand operations in the region, raising the possibility of the first U.S. strikes on Venezuela.

Trump says he’s not considering strikes inside Venezuela, walking back on earlier comments. Meanwhile, the US military buildup in the Caribbean continues

Well unless China builds a base in Venezuela and starts patroling there really isn't anyone who do anything about it.

Russia lands Wagner-linked plane in Venezuela — pushing into Washington’s backyard A Russian Il-76 linked to Wagner networks landed in Venezuela, Defense News reports. Caracas recently asked Russia, China and Iran for military support as the U.S. stepped up activity in the Caribbean. Moscow didn’t keep Maduro waiting. The aircraft belongs to Aviacon Zitotrans, a company sanctioned by the U.S., Canada and Ukraine for supplying military equipment to Wagner-controlled conflict zones. While Washington is focused on the Middle East and Asia, the Kremlin is quietly re-entering Latin America. A not-so-subtle reminder: geopolitics hates a vacuum, and Moscow is trying to fill one right under America’s nose.

Russias capabilities are limited. It would be different if China decided to take action. But I don't expect China to take any action since it's too far away and Chinas interests are closer to Sharabough and Taiwan.
