Now what has Democrats done?
They at least blocking 2000 pounder to Israel for a while to prevent it being used for Rafah Offensive by Israel. Not a big move, but expect something like that from Trump? He would let 2000 pounder to bomb West Bank (Judea and Samaria by Israeli) at will by Israel and care nothing about Palestinian state, while without Palestinian state, there will be no security for Israel.

Palestinian statehood, no joke, anyone’s interest, even for me that you may consider as more inclined to Israel in this conflict. Without it and without Israel respect its sovereignty, tension between Israel and Muslim world people will not stop.

To mild, but this discussion need to move to another thread.

Time for Ukraine and EU countries to be less reliant to US. Let’s see if the so-called ‘Trump whisperer’ Mark Rutte can help Ukraine get assistance from US more than expected.

Less value based policies, more pragmatic ‘as long it benefiting US’ policies for Mark Rutte to speak with US.

From the ongoing reports, it is likely that the republicans are likely set to not only win the presidency, but also the Senate and the Congress as well

In other words, the whole country is in their hands. It seems that the last 4 years under the democrats have been catastrophic in terms of cost of living

What is the general view in Turkiye about Trump's victory?

In India, this is seen as broadly beneficial.

Landslide victory for the Orange Man. Trump wiped the floor with Kamala. My money was on the Trump but I never thought Trump could win that big.

If he stops protecting YPG, good. If not, bad.

Permanent bureucracy in DC is anti-Turkish to the point of ridiculousness. We can't manage to get to any point with them. They are consumed by hubris and devoid of any understanding regarding limitations of American power. That's a problem. And then you add their ideological blinders and it gets downright dangerous. Trump sometimes cuts across their weird fetishes and obsessions like with the retreat from Syria. He creates other problems (tariffs for example). But YPG is an existential threat and economy is secondary to that.

To be honest, Trump's last term could've benefited us a lot. The economy really started to go bad after Erdoğan's Brunson stunt. He made us look like a joke on the international stage and the lira hasn't recovered to this day.

For all of Trump's flaws, he's a billion times more honest and loving of his country than Erdoğan.

TSK and the defence industry are the only thing keeping the country afloat. Our politicians and the religious clergy who back the corrupt government need to be cleansed, otherwise we'll be on our way to become Iran 2.0 - a joke of a nation
