Joint 'espionage' operation from Police and MIT

Six suspects were detained in Istanbul and Antalya in the operation jointly organized by the Anti-Terrorism Branch of the Istanbul Security Directorate and the National Intelligence Organization, and that they were in search of an armed action and were carrying out activities to provide information that should be kept confidential by the state for the purpose of 'Political or Military Espionage'. It was reported that the suspects' proceedings at the police station are continuing.
Istanbul Police Department Anti-Terrorism Branch Office officials, in coordination with the National Intelligence Organization, have been found to be seeking armed action in Antalya and Istanbul's Başakşehir, Sarıyer and Küçükçekmece districts and to provide information that should be kept confidential by the state for the purpose of 'Political or Military Espionage'. A simultaneous operation was held at 03.00 against 6 foreign national suspects.
In the operation carried out at 3 addresses in Istanbul and 2 addresses in Antalya, 6 suspects who were determined to be spying were detained. During the searches at the addresses, 3 guns, 1 of which was fitted with a silencer/laser device, the magazines of these guns and many bullets were seized. It was learned that 6 suspects taken into custody during the operation are continuing their procedures at the police station.
