Announce by the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Republic of Azerbaijan and Republic of Armenia

In response to the calls of the Russian President V. V. Putin, the Azerbaijani President I. G. Aliyev and Primeminister of Republic of Armenia N. V. Pashinyan have agreed on the following paragraphs:

1. Announcing of ceasefire beginning at 12 hours 00 minutes at 10th October 2020 with humanitarian objective for exchange of prisoners of war, other personas and also exchange of bodies with the support and abiding to the criteria of the Red Cross Commitee.

2. Concrete parameters of the ceasefire regime will be negotiated further.

3. The Minsk Group will mediate according to the principle base for negotiations with the objective of reaching peace as fast as possible between Republic of Azerbaijan and Republic of Armenia.

4. The countries are confirming that the agreement is genuine and the format will be unchanged.

As a result of consultations between the Foreign Ministers of Armenia, Azerbaijan and Russia, it has been decided to establish ceasefire from 12:00 on October 10.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov made the announcement after more than nine hours of consultations with Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan and Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov.
The ceasefire will be established for humanitarian purposes, i.e. exchange of prisoners of war and bodies with the mediation and in line with the criteria of the International Committee of the Red Cross, Lavrov said.
He added that concrete parameters of the ceasefire will be agreed additionally.
The Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan will proceed to substantial negotiations with the mediation of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs.

Seems like a face saving for Putin. Took like what 10 hours for just that? Putin said the same before the meeting. If it holds we'll see. Will Aliyev eat his words he uttered just before the meeting?

This also mean that Turkey will not be in the table in Karabag negotiations.

Its not 12 hours ceasefire it starts in 12:00 o'clock in 10.10.2020. Also Minsk format will be applied and Azerbaycan basicly accepted to oust Turkey from negotiation process. This is a big slap in the face against Turkey. A total humiliation.

Not really Aliyev is humiliated if you followed his speech just right before the meeting. We will do this and that he said. We will chase you out like dogs he said.. But hold your horses, it's not over yet. We support whatever Azerbaijan wants.

I don't think Azerbaijan will stop. At least not without getting control over Fuzuli, Agdere and Agdam. It is not long until we understand what is going on. It will all become clear in 12:30-13:30.

It sounded like a temporary ceasefire to exchange prisoners/wounded and allow for humanitarian aid to reach the area. Clearly Armenia is still occupying UN-recognized Azerbaijani territory, so it cannot be over unless Armenia has had enough and agreed to fully withdraw from NK.

I've noticed that whenever a Russian backed force is getting destroyed, Russia always steps in and asks for a ceasefire.

Either way, let's hope that NK returns to Azerbaijan.

War in that terrain is hard, if the terrain was like Iraq you could capture the whole country in a week.

fight is not the problem, we killed so many Armenians that their president called every single leader to stop the fight. the question is when we were winning and population had fulllll support, why we stopped? it doesnt make sense, thats what kills me... We had military technology, population, army, man power, motivation, everything you need to continue.. they almost encircled armenians in the middle, and Russia came to make "peace"

Russia is the big boss of the region I guess, they probably threatened Azerbaijan if a ceasefire was not made quickly.

We will see in the morning. Aliyev must speak to his nation. We Turks are angry right now , i cant even think about our Azeri friends feeling.
