I have some sources on the Ukraine-Russia conflict which I follow because I rely on them more even though they are pro-Russia (although some claim to be impartial), because they had proven to be more objective in their analysis and reporting than most Western sources; but they proved themselves to be just lucky to be on the side that had facts on its side contingently. They were all talking about how Russia and Iran will destroy the rebels until two days ago.

Then there are people who say Iran knew about this and there are deals, etc. Iran's second biggest state-run auto manufacturer just inaugurated a production plant couple of months ago around Damascus worth millions of dollars in investment. Then there were the gulf monarchies normalizing relations and giving Assad loans and stuff. Granular reality is the enemy of perceived orders.

Memun el Culadi, a close friend of Hamas leader Khaled Meshal and an official of the Al-Qassam Brigades, was released from the prisons of the Assad regime, where he had been held for 9 years, with the liberation of Damascus.

I'm not talking about a road. It is a pipeline project that carries Qatari gas to Europe to replace Russian gas. It will be extremely competitive in price with Russian gas.
Road projects might follow existing routes through Iraq.

Best thing is avoid Monarchies and dictatoships.

So based on the airbase situation. Is this now Turkey/Russian backed HTS vs US/Israel backed SDF war now?

Even after Assad was removed from power, they were launching airstrikes on Idlib and Northern Syria this morning. They definitely deserve to be humiliated.

They have a big coordination problem atm. Many Russian units are stranded inside Syria.

And we just let them evacuate assad through Turkish airspace on a military cargo airplane?

Who even dared to let this happen? Assad should have been smuggled through Iraqi-Iranian airspace.

Any contract (EEZ) signed between Syria and North Cyprus?
Of course not. That's a high bar i don't think we'll see unless North Cyprus is recognized by others first.

So based on the airbase situation. Is this now Turkey/Russian backed HTS vs US/Israel backed SDF war now?
Not yet. And calling HTS Russian backed is a bit reachiing don't you think?

Who even dared to let this happen?
I think government have established that they don't have symbolical red lines.

Evidence?
Syria was the most modern of the Arab countries as a society,i have been to Syria a couple of times before the war.
In rural areas there was moderate Islam but never Jihadis or radicals, the cities were normal just like in my country a mix of everything.
The Syrians i have met in Europe are all somewhat modern, maybe 10% closed but no ideas of Sharia rule.
They all want a modern democracy and freedom, actually nobody cares about politics just freedom.
Why you ask,you would like it to be an Islamic(rule) country?

What about the HTS tho ? Isn't that what they want ? To ultimately turn Syria into an Islamic state ?

I have a very very very bad information to share that almost made me cry

there are about 150,000 prisoners still trapped in Siydna prison near Damascus, the regime had destroyed all electric looks and disabled the ventilation system

The resistance are fighting time to free them all

150,000 prisoners !!
dont belive everything u read on internet , 150k is a almost city and even if they are trapped they can survive several days , air can pass even throw 1mm space so that prison may have several windows

If HTS was the only player then yes it would have tried it but the SNA has more power with the backing of Turkiye(the HTS knows it).
Remember Idlib,Türkiye condoned the HTS and other radicals just because they would fight Assad to keep Idlib.
Not just the HTS but whoever tries to bring something other then democracy to Syria will regret even trying it let alone imposing it on the people of Syria.
Why do you think the HTS and SNA didnt join to act as one entity?
Türkiye doesnt trust the HTS(nobody does).

No safe passage for the Russians.

The convoys will get attacked by angry Syrians and leave Turkish soldiers in a tough spot.

Russians also bombed ambulances trying to pick up Turkish soldiers and denied Turkish helicopters.

Let the Russians face the consequences of their actions. No good will nothing for them.

Lets not forget how they massacred Ukrainian soldiers who surrendered in 2015. Russians promised them safe passage then proceeded to massacre them.
