This partnership represents a key step in supporting the Indonesian Navy's strategic requirement for enhanced underwater deterrence through the upcoming serial production of midget attack submarines, reinforcing our shared commitment to delivering state-of-the-art subsea technology. As a trusted leader in high-tech underwater systems, Drass is proud to further strengthen its longstanding relationship with Indonesia in this critical domain.
On February 17, 2025, Chairman Norman Joesoef of Republikorp and Sergio Cappelletti of Drass signed the Framework Agreement for the DGK submarines, with the contract scheduled for signing in summer 2025.

the original variant is more about the use of systems and sub-systems where the datalink is only intended for the PLAN, while the export variant is more flexible and customized such as Thai S26T
