“Light in weight but rich in content, modern rations for Mehmetçik! [*Turkish Soldiers]
— The Turkish Armed Forces have re-formed [*recreated] ration packages of Turkish soldiers, especially for the first three days of the intense operational phase.
— In this context; the weight of the daily food package (3273kcal) was reduced from 2.5kg to 1.1kg.
— In addition, the Ministry of National Defence Pharmaceutical Factory Directorate started the production of the 'Electrolyte Support Product', which has a much richer content, instead of the 'Salt Tablet'.”
other than removing old salt tablets from packs and reducing weight of the pack by half, I can’t see any improvements.
I can only see couple of MRE pouches. The rest are old fashioned foods and supplements such as canned wet food, consumer level bars and so on.
I am really having difficulty to understand this resistance from Ministry of Defense to modern MRE studies that could be conducted by institutes of technology and related university studies.
Not much improvement here, I’m afraid. Will share as new content info comes up.
