There has been rumors indicating that TN will commission at least one unit of STM500, hence why Milden DPO / Flotilla Command will get involved for feedbacks and modifications.
trust info or just rumors because there is no news about order of stm 500 or any information

Anadolu Task Group is once again reactivated for Neptune Strike 25/3 with Anadolu, 2 Gabya Class frigates and Gür class sub I. İnönü. I also see 3 AH-1Ws in the hangar deck. Army Cougars and hopefully a Chinook will be deployed from army bases once she's on her way. I do hope we see some TB3 action in ISR role, but don't see it deployed on it.

Anadolu Task Group is being reactivated again. 4 ships, 4 seas, 3 months, 5 joint exercises with partners.

"In accordance with our commitments to NATO;

- The headquarters of the NATO Amphibious Task Force Command and Landing Force Command (CATF/CLF),

- TCG Anadolu, TCG Derya, TCG İstanbul, TCG Kınalıada,

- 1 Amphibious Marine Infantry Battalion and our SAT/SAS teams,

- The Anatolian Turkish Naval Task Force, consisting of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, helicopters and landing craft, will conduct voyages and port visits in the Mediterranean Sea, Atlantic Ocean, North Sea and Baltic Sea between January 20 and April 16.

The Anatolian Turkish Naval Task Force, which will also participate in the Steadfast Dart, Northern Quadriga and Dynamic Mariner/Cold Response/Joint Warrior exercises, will begin its voyage with a farewell ceremony to be held in Foça/Izmir on January 20."

That's a long expedition, I wish them a safe voyage and best of luck in their operations. Curious if they are taking any volunteers, I have done that expedition in the past on a civilian cargo ship all the way to the Baltics, would be a nice cruise. Beware of the break away icebergs in Baltics in season.

Are we sending TCG Istanbul with Hisars? Did the Navy find the Hisars' performance sufficient, or is the fleet's defense left to Gökdeniz and RIM 166?

This is like a new ship tour. I mean I like that the task force has been formed by these ships but I think it is early to do that if the VLS' cells of TCG İstanbul are empty.

I didn't like the sound of it. WTF will we do in Baltic sea against Russia in the sea. Romania + Estonia + Balkans in the Air for our so called NATO allies against Russia.

Nato's roots are rotting, an average Turk can't get into EU borders thanks to their visa policies, they blocked our SAFE plan etc. BUTTT our government cries like : SIR WE ARE NATO SIR!!! I JUST CAN'T ACCEPT THIS SHIT!

According to this news piece two İstif Class frigates purchase by Qatar is on its way. An MOU has been signed to that effect.

Since our shipbuilding industry is capable of churning out the war ships fairly quickly this should be done without too much hassle.
It would also be nice to carry on selling combat ships with the I-Class after the success of the Ada Class.

Will the two ships contain Turkish weapons?
Well, one would hope so.
They recently bought 4 Al-Zubarah class 3250 ton 107m long 14.7m wide corvettes from Italy. It had 16 VLS cells for Aster-30 , a 76mm Oto Melara Super rapid cannon, a 21 cell RAM point defence missile system, 8 tubes with Exocet Block 3 anti ship missiles.
Within the same package was an amphibious LHD by Fincantieri and 2 Off-Shore boats.
Total was 5.9 billion dollars. The LHD which is a 8-9000ton, 148m long ship is a slightly larger version of the Algerian one Italians built. That one was 450million dollars. But the Qatari one comes with more extensive support and munitions. For the two small OPVs about 100 million. But the 3 x NH90 helicopters and self defence equipment LHD came with will increase the cost of the LHD.

Overall those Al Zubarah corvettes are best part of 3+ billion dollars.

Fully loaded I-Class frigates should be around 550 million dollars each. So there is a big advantage there. With Advent system, MIDLAS VLS, Aesa radars, 16 Atmaca anti ship and 16 cell Siper missile systems , our ships should be no less if anything, more potent. The supply of equipment and support we will give will be more effective.

But all this is in the air conjecture. We need to see when the contract is signed , what it entails.

Damm FDI cost almost double that almost 1 billion dollars for 1 FDI we can build 2 I-Class.
I wonder if we could sell the older ada Corvettes instead of modernizing and replace them with 4 I-Class frigates.
One Ada should at least be worth 250 million if not more.
