Anti-Drone Warfare at Sea: Matching Sensors and Effectors to the Threat

Effective Anti-Drone Warfare demands a complete kill chain – detection, identification, tracking, and hard-kill engagement – with every link matched to the physics and economics of the Tier 2 OWA drone threat. This article examines the technology choices for each link: why only AESA radar meets the detection requirement, what the electro-optic director must deliver, and how the principal effector classes compare against the demands of the ADW mission.

Thats why need ships with better integration of usv like a mother ship or direct integration in to destroyers and frigates but lower capacity

By integration do you mean physical integration, like docking etc? Because Advent already provides all the necessary software integration that is why SSB is making it's integration necessary for all USV's

I mean physical integration. There were some discussions about a new frigate/destroyer class to follow after the four TF2000 and i think these ships could be designed in a way that improves the integration of unmanned systems. For instance a lot of western ships have a modular bay for container sized modules that don't really proved effective and i think that you could instead put like 4 - 6 usv and 2-4 uuv instead with different mission sets also unmanned helicopters. This ship could also be the size of TF2000 or a bit larger to hold these system since overall steel cost are little. Like a little LHD/frigate with firepower between i class and TF2000. While at it also add more counter drone systems lasers, Gun system and small rocket systems (cirit, sungur, eren). These ships would be real multi purpose.

All very well. But does this Unmanned Sea Vessel have room for enough mines to lay in multiple numbers over a large area? In the test they have released a single mine.
I feel like it is best to see Malaman as a loitering torpedo rather than a sea mine that can be mass deployed. With it's 7 sensors, datalink, iff, coating etc it is most likely pretty expensive and won't be deployed in huge numbers.

The housing seem to be made for two mines, and not stackable. It is possible that this is intended to replace typical mine laying rails with this automated one, it can be elongated. However, it is not quite low profile for the mine laying operations. It requires a smaller vessel, with lower visual profile, yet the rail configuration doesn't allow this to much.

In my opinion it will be more valuable when they changed from using the gravity, to a push actuator to launch the mine, it will be more useful to stack multiple of these in unmanned underwater vehicles horizontally.

All in all, we should also consider this being the Technology Demonstrator for the concept, it can be reworked on the dedicated mine laying USV, made stackable as well.

Is UCA basically MALAMAN or does it use different sensors and explosive?
AFAIK Akinci should be able to launch them, but only one under its belly.

I believe it is Malaman, without the stealth shrouding.
