I have been saying it for some time that Pakistan is going through a major change and it will never be the same again under PTI. The western side of Indus Basin is begining to gain ground. Does anybody notice the guys surname?

He isn't from the Niazi tribe. He is from the Mughal Khan tribe, I believe. Definitely Mughal family. There are three mughal tribes in the Poonch Jagir (lands which spans across the LOC). They are the douldai, khan Mughal, maldiyal. Both maldiyal and douldai trace lineage from the chughatai Mughal clans that arrived with the Mongol invasions and finally settled with the formation of the Mughal empire (however both the douldai and maldiyal wrote themselves as rajputs in British consensus).
The Mughal Khan find their origin as kamangar meaning bow makers. They weren't soldiers but arms professional tribes and while they claim such descent, other Mughals don't see them as real chughatai since in their view all Mongol families must have landowners lineage which is ofcourse aristocratic rubbish. The Mongol and Turkic brought many people and not everyone got lands, so I am more inclined to believe their story especially considering that they used kamangar for quite a while till the arrival of British. Don't get the khan title though. If they were kamangar, they definitely wouldn't get the Khan jagir title but the Mughal Khan have built their presence in the villages and have formed their family tribes.

However they have as much links to Pathan tribes as the sadozais of Poonch have with sadozais Pathan tribe.

Wave of protests challenge the authorities.

India and Pakistan have fought multiple wars over Kashmir, a Himalayan territory that both countries claim. For Pakistan, this external rivalry has long overshadowed political problems within Kashmir.

But the discontent there now seems too serious for Pakistan to ignore.

What began as demonstrations over the soaring cost of living in the part of Kashmir that Pakistan controls has evolved into a political movement, the Joint Awami Action Committee, a coalition of traders, civil society activists and local politicians. The coalition has organized protests in recent weeks that are posing the most significant challenge in years to Pakistan’s authority over the region.

Pakistan will surely face several issues. India is a growing power, and US recognition of Kashmir as Indian will make it very challenging for Pakistan.

The Foreign Office (FO) on Wednesday summoned the US charge d’affaires in Islamabad and lodged a “strong demarche” over “factually incorrect remarks” by the US ambassador to India regarding the status of Jammu and Kashmir during his visit to disputed region.

“Pakistan strongly condemned and categorically rejected the characterisation of Jammu and Kashmir as a ‘part of India’,” said the FO statement.

“Yeah, the UN can’t change the status quo. The Americans backing Indian sovereignty over Kashmir is going to make things a lot harder for Pakistan — and let’s not forget it’s historically India’s right. Pakistan still needs the US badly. They’re constantly asking for multi-billion-dollar loans and credits (they just recently asked the US for a $10 billion credit loan), plus the usual repeated IMF bailouts they chase every few years just to stop their economy from collapsing.”

Economic situation is where the crux of the matter lies. If the current pakistani economic trend continue even POK won't vote to be with Pakistan in a plebiscite.
