Main Battle Tanks (MBTs) Al-Khalid / Al-Khalid I: Co-developed with China, serving as the core indigenous main battle tank of the Pakistan Army. Al-Zarrar: Heavily upgraded and modernized local variant of the older Type 59 tank featuring a 125mm smoothbore gun. T-80UD: Ukrainian-sourced main battle tank featuring a diesel engine and 125mm main gun. Type 85-IIAP: Chinese-built or co-produced variant featuring composite armor and a 125mm gun. VT-4 (MBT-3000): Advanced Chinese main battle tank acquired for evaluation and induction into armored corps formations.
