Wasn't there a white paper that said redistribution of forces from east/west coast to north needed to be done?

The fun which China seems to be having is “biting them where it hurts” amid news China is experiencing massive electricity shortages whilst Australian coal sits anchored off their coast, says Sky News host Chris Smith.

China Australia tensions are at an all time high, after Australia called for an independent investigation into the origin of the coronavirus. Chinese foreign Ministry Spokesperson Zhao Lijian famously tweeted a fake image of an Australia soldier doing something not nice, tying in to an investigation about Australia Afghanistan activities. China as launched a major trade war on Australia, putting tariffs on Australian wine, lobsters, and even the China iron ore they so desperately need.

Joining us today to talk about it is Australian Senator Eric Abetz, who has spoken up about the Chinese Communist Party's influence in Australia.

Aussie Senator hits pretty much every issue I have brought up so far in this forum quite well...

I am always pondering why the Imperial Japan Army in which my late grandfather become one in his younger years, so hell Bent to do Jinmetsu Sakuren policy there and had very deep hatred against them. The Chinese is more sly , absurdly arrogant to the max, cunning and lack Noble warrior spirit any Nation should have.

China spread the coronavirus to the whole world.

Basically made us endure restrictions and lockdowns. Also thousands of deaths on top of it.

By this rate if a global coalition happens to counter China even have a war against them I will support it 100%.

If the Chinese ran the world we will all be in their reeducation camps like the Uygurs.

In my opinion, ostracization and economic sanctions should suffice. Ok, so they have weird eating habits - but that's not the problem. The problem is that they could have contained it and deliberately lied. And then acted like saviors

That's a blanket generalization and downright racist. The blame must lie with the CCP, not the Chinese people.

There is a long term impact regarding this that will materialise this decade. We live in timeframe of year to year etc, but last few months I have been taking some snap polls among all kind of people on various things, they have changed drastically for most part w.r.t China (PRC and CCP specifically) on some key things. This will percolate but will take time. Momentum will also take time...but make no doubt it has started like never I have seen before.

I understand the vein she is coming from (though I wouldn't phrase exactly like her).

It is complicated issue I was just talking about earlier in day with a friend (as to what would China today look like if KMT won somehow for example)

i.e what is the statist psyche inherent in a civ, what is the contrast and "rebellion" toward that as well.

How these existed at various time periods, which ones "won", which ones didn't win but resurfaced, which ones never resurfaced...and specifically why.

This creates psyche and inertia to some matters of great consequence esp given size of a country. Suffice to say Chinese are out of balance w.r.t their own Yin and Yang (if you posit what CCP represents here - ultimately a very extremist statist oriented utilitarian* approach over a moral based one).

This is a longer story I hope to unpack at some point with my china series (in signature). Many people fundamentally do not understand China at all. @Paro

*Nature of this utilitarian can shift to Totalitarian, as it did with Mao and now with Xi (different reasons why)...but given apparatus of this stuff, it does not take many more layers at all to do so.

Since when what we Chinese support within China needs foreign consent?

Yes - but they are also insulated and have all kinds of censors blocking information to them as well as brainwashing them with propaganda. Given how Trumpanzees and Modi bhakts are also brainwashed, imagine how easy it is to brainwash people where information revealing facts is blocked.

Almost all foreigners are shocked massively to find how different China is from what their media tells them when they first visit China, this simple fact explains who are more brainwashed by their media, besides, with independent thinking, Chinese are better at spotting fake news than their western and Indian counterparts.
