Civilian was hit by a soldier after a standoff in Derecik. The civilians decided to sit for a picnique in a military area. The soldiers reacted and demanded the civilians to leave 7 times while the civilians showed resistance and one civilian was injured after a short fight.

A lesson: Don't do picniques in military areas.
Well, if i have to talk myself, i don't approve these heavy handed tactics against civilians.

There is this youtuber i discovered recently. He is from Istanbul/ and coming from Black Sea region.

One of his videos, he said soldiers didn't allowed him to camp in the countryside, while offering no help. But random local people, find him and made him stay in their homes.

Let's not be prejudiced against people of the region.

Two totally different scenarios, the soldier make them clear to leave this military area but they resisted/refused other one is a civillian who needs a place to stay over the night and was invited by locals.

Those piknik guys could have been PKK scouts or bury IED's, for example. Soldiers have their orders and don't act on free will. If it's not allowed to enter military area than you have to get your stuff and leave not resist and piss them off.

Bullshit most of those people who got beaten up by the soldiers are not civilians but pkk scouts or paid by the pkk to check that military base.

Its typical of kurds to play as the victim so many times. They have been warned so many times to leave the area.

Its obvious why they were there a scouting mission disguised as a picnic.

In Australia if you tried to even set up perimeter next to a base regardless of what it is soldiers have a right to arrest if not use deadly force.

Typical of kurds to play as the victim every time. Turkish military base laws are strict they take no crap.

How many places they can go and do their picnic they choose a place close to a military base.

Its obvious what the intentions are. Play stupid games win stupid prizes.

Absolutely agree.

As our other friend said the two situations have nothing in common. There is a big difference between the countryside and a military area. We have been watching many times PKK terrorists infiltrating in comparable circumstances even attacking on traffic control points from obviously civilian vehicles in a hit and run style. If they are civilians or terrorists I am not sure but I am sure in that the best measure is the preventive measure.

Those guys were doing their picnique just under the nose of the outpost in a place like Derecik where in November 2020 we gave 3 civilian martyrs in a ATGM attack on workers building a road. I am sure there are better nature and sceneries in Derecik than exactly that place... Turkey internally is being cleansed from terrorists and the numbers of people that are joining the group are drastically falling. Hopefully we will see the days where the mountains will be turned to places for picnique instead of restricted areas.

Thats how soysuz these people are they would do terrorist propaganda in another country then complain about how that same country oppresses your people or ideology then cry as the victim while at the same time you come to that country to holiday the same country you are against and dragging that country's name in the mud.

Artik no more this is good news artik I hope more to come. People who do terrorist propaganda and anti Turkiye activities in other countries have no right to get citizenship or even holiday in the country that time is now over.

First you sing the PKK march, then you attack the police and at the end when you get f!cked up you are crying "The police is beating students" and people fall for this...

Whoever follows the development of the TSK and especially the Commando brigades will know who is Gokhan Avci and this is what he says: There were documents etc. we found in the caves where the organization sheltered in Hakkari. It turns out that most of the terrorists are undergraduate degrees at certain universities. Terrorists now haunt universities rather than mountains.

Make people, person non grata, if they're from abroad then don't accept them, if they're turkish citizens kick them out and let them infest Europe. They're not like Turkey born, who'll miss their nation till the day they die. (Since they're not patriots we're better off without them).

In that particular case we have a bad example of the ruling party meddling in the matters of the universities and their right to chose their rector with clear political agenda and on the other side we have universities of which the environment and certain personnel and mentors in the there are producing "guerillas" and suicide bombers. I don't like either of them. I also don't like the situation of governors chosen with the people's votes to place IEDs in the areas which they govern and allocate money to the PKK being taken and replaced by other people which also have their own political agenda.

The reality right now is that both of the situations are almost equally dangerous and I don't like terrorists and political powers using their power in the State for their own agenda but if we have to face it realistically you can't let the terror and its supporters to roam free because they are democratically chosen by a separatist entity, free people in a free country (their freedom is a big lie BTW). If we go by that logic we should do a referendum in the Southeast immediately without any slowing of the process and give them 1/3 of our Turkey for which the blood of heroes is spilled even till today. We can't leave a terrorist organization and its civilian pawns in the politics and all the "elite" society circles prevent the control of the democratically elected government of Turkey which in its nature is unified republic without autonomies, federative states etc. In that case I chose the lesser evil which is the government's position. Nobody get me wrong I don't support favoritism of people because they serve a certain ideology or interests for that particular party but I find it easier to fix the government problem trough national elections, reforms and quality opposition and I think it is possible when we take in account the new initiatives recently started and the forming new dynamic of the political situation in Turkey.

I will again talk harshly and coldblooded (I sincerely apologize if I hurt someone). The reality I see is that a certain level of repression should be applied into the less developed areas in the East and Southeast of Turkey. That repression will be there in a way in which it guarantees that the State investments and the governing structure there are completing their tasks within the national plans for development and power given by the State is not misused in aid for terrorist organizations. In that way the proper government of these areas and the proper use of funds is used which will overall increase the quality standards of the Turkish citizens there and they will taste the fruits of the trees which the government and the State are planting for their future as no less citizens opposite to their past experience intensified by the terrorist propaganda and other malign activities like active prevention of projects of high importance by criminal and terrorist organizations. In simple words forcefully correct the bad situation there and after they see it's working then they will start to lean towards the government and as citizens of the Repulic of Turkey to the State again.

The citizens of that area are being blinded for years that the State doesn't care about them but in fact every positive initiative of the State in terms of increasing their quality of life and pulling investments till now was sabotaged by the PKK. Now with the recent initiatives in terms of anti-terrorism like the intense work of our security forces and the political will and harsh but needed measures the situation in the Southeast is improving and as I said before the numbers of people joining the ranks of PKK dramatically decreased and also the number of terrorist inside the borders of Turkey is in its lowest. I personally give a big part of that success to the Minister of Internal Affairs Suleyman Soylu and the Gendarmerie Commander General Arif CETIN. They managed to implement the old school tactics in a more highly technological and supervised way together with other security services like MIT within the chain of command pushing both the military and political wing of the PKK to the corner and forcing the militants out of Turkey's borders mainly in Northern Iraq where the Minister of Defence Hulusi Akar with the power of the Turkish Armed Forces are pushing them even further taking their fortresses one by one and forcing even their ethnic brothers to raise their voice and turn against them. Of course Turkey didn't came to this level without many critical mistakes and disappointments and I wish everybody to take responsibility for their mistakes but I also admire the level of success the people which I listed above reached in the terms of the war against terrorism. Note the term I use. Not the war against terrorists but the war against terrorism as a whole!

We have to remember that PKK has been active and hurt development in South East for nearly 40+ years, and we need nearly same amount of time if not more to develop it to a good level.

Best solution is the video surveillance en masse and hit hard on terrorists.

In the video you can clearly see a military base in the background, and they were the ones yelling around "we came for a picnic".

Provocation, ignore warnings, keep resisting and then crying around when tasting the buttstock.

It was determined that 15 of the 17 people who were detained during the protests at Boğaziçi University were not students.
Some names were found to be in contact with MLCP.

One of the reasons why foreign intelligence units are so successful is due to the amount of movies there are about them. The more exaggerated they are the more depressed the terrorists get :)

But who's to say they are exaggerated in these times. But I do hope/wish that MIT has Kill Teams. I know it's a terrifying thing to wish for, but terrorists will do anything to anyone they have no moral values.

MIT have every type of teams and everything is calculated. If we can hijack a terrorist from his hole in Latakia which is the place with some of the widest variety of lowlifes sniffing around in Syria then I am not concerned about the capability of MIT and their "kill teams". The most of the times it is harder to get an HVT alive than to kill it.

For every type of threat Turkey have its answer and its measures calculated accordingly. You can't go on a hit and kill rush on that kind of targets. Also not every problem is solved with the death of a target as the most of the time there are complications following especially in circles ideologically motivated like the left wing terrorist entity in Turkey and it is simply not feasible. The security services are calculating that it is not needed to burn the house for one cockroach and are using different methods of suppression and I trust them on that.
