Bros you have to watch the latest Houthi combat video... This is insane! Thermals, NVGs, weapons and bases captured. Lost the numbers of Saudi soldiers killed and vehicles burned. I can't share because it is to graphic. It was the most intense combat footage I have ever seen in my life. Around half an hour full of CQB. I really can't understand how the Saudis can be so bad in fighting. The guys there had everything and the Houthies are not even good shooters. It was an absolute massacre! I felt sorry for those soldiers.

What makes you think its not?It should be celebrated with pride.
The gory bits are blurred out:Where can we watch that footage?
Bu ne abi , Suudi Askerleri hiç mi savaşmayı bilmiyorlarmış? Bu birkaç baskının birleştirilmiş videosu mu? Yoksa 10 kişi 40 dakikada bir ilçeyi teslim mi aldı?Bros you have to watch the latest Houthi combat video... This is insane! Thermals, NVGs, weapons and bases captured. Silah kalibresi, cinsi, ağırlıklığı gibi tartışmaların ne kadar boş olduğunu gösteriyor. Suudilerde yok yok. G36,Ak47, Minimi, night visions, kameralar etc. Motive olmuş kararlı savaşçılar karşısında savaşmak çok zor.The gory bits are blurred out:
The Saudis got flanked so bad they were retreating into Houthi ambushes.

Any idea where this is on the map?
My god these soldiers have zero training, they act absolutely amateurish.
Somebody should teach them the number one rule of an outpost:
Apart from obvious fatal mistakes from soldiers, what they lack the most is air suveilance and support, its absolutely necessary against guerillas in such a terrain.Training is one thing (and that needs all kind of things like esprit de corps over long period of time and deep military institutions to cultivate and deploy these)...... but the main failure here is Saudi logistics to have this level and nature of total rout from all sides on their own turf. Training is relative cherry on top of that larger cake you need to get right first (which Saudis obv have not in this relatively new zone for them).
Whatever specific place this was, it was obviously far too over-extended and tenuous hold (even if its own territory, that means nothing in war) and also under-surveilled w.r.t the opponents threat he could bring to bear intensely. I have a feeling there is definitely good intel Houthis are receiving as to the best weak points to target and when.
Takeaway for houthis (and their Iranian etc consultants) is they could probably do with a higher ratio of RPG w.r.t rifles in this area among their squads. The heavy machine gun use looked adequate.
i.e They might have to make bigger impact next time in shorter time, esp. if Saudis (or their foreign assistance) improve their logistics (and withdraw to surer footing supply line and defence intensity) by learning from this debacle. Just cant do that with small arms and technicals that much.
