The Ministry of Internal Affairs intends to buy six aircraft "Antonov" from the Kharkov aircraft plant.
In 2020, for the first time since independence, the state ordered three new An-178 aircraft from the Antonov state-owned enterprise for the needs of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, which the Ukrainian army will receive.
The State Emergency Situations Service plans to purchase two An-178 aircraft and an An-32 (P) aircraft for UAH 4 billion from the Antonov State Enterprise, three more from the National Guard from the Kharkov aircraft plant. This was announced on Friday, June 11, at the Ministry of Internal Affairs in response to an inquiry from Liga.net.
"In the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the purchase of aircraft manufactured by the Antonov State Enterprise is planned by the State Emergency Service. The State Emergency Service has developed drafts of two resolutions of the Cabinet of Ministers: for the purchase of an An-32P aircraft under state guarantees for UAH 470 million; for the purchase of two An-32P aircraft under state guarantees in the amount of UAH 3.53 billion. -178-100R ", - said the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The State Emergency Service is working on the documents for the procurement, the Ministry of Internal Affairs notes.
In addition, the National Guard is interested in purchasing three An-74T-200A aircraft manufactured by the Kharkov State Aviation Production Enterprise. This will be possible if additional allocations are made from the state budget, the Ministry of Internal Affairs stressed.
State Enterprise "KhGAPP" is one of two serial aircraft manufacturing enterprises in Ukraine. It can produce An-74 and An-140 aircraft. The enterprise has a debt of UAH 3.7 billion and is not subject to privatization.
An-74 is a light transport aircraft with jet engines. Designed for ice reconnaissance and transportation. Can be converted into a cargo and ambulance aircraft.
An-178 is a medium transport aircraft of the Antonov State Enterprise. Designed for the transportation of personnel and cargo by landing and parachute methods. The maximum load of the aircraft is 18 tons. With a load of 16 tons, it is capable of flying 1260 km.
Antonov received an order under state guarantees for the construction of three An-178T military transport aircraft for the Ministry of Defense at the end of 2020. The contract is valid until 2024, however, according to Urusky, the first aircraft may be handed over to the military in the spring of 2023.
Note that the An-178 made its first flight in 2015. In August last year, Antonov manufactured the first An-178 aircraft without RF parts. 2/3 of the equipment of corporations from the United States, another third - domestic production.
