Little Sparta's detour of shipping oil via Fujeirah seems to be a lunatic's vision: this is not the 1930s where Iranians will have to bring artillery to hormuz to neutralize shipping: Fujeirah is very well in range of its drones and missiles.
May UAE also needed some humility after interfering...
Why Operation Freedom in 24 hours: Saudi's and Qatari's withdrew their backing: UAE not mentioned and why retaliation two days ago was directed at them

What are US options for a major air attack: number of carriers is same now as it was in March. Fewer land base options . Possibly the one in Jordan. There is strategic reach from UK with B-52s/B-1s.
One would assume that more force would be needed to get Iran to comply as the same amount of...
Agent 500 should stay on. Anybody gloating about how good Israeli economy is doing now deserves a platform, if for no other reason but to think how a Bibi supporter rationalizes things.
And on another note: US is down to two carriers (technically one while one is in transit to it).
Gerald...
The idea of somehow US exporting oil is good for the US economy is the sort of mindset that got US into this mess. Under no circumstances any oil exported will equal:
1. The $500BN in extra defense funding asked
2. The damage to US economy in every sector (from semiconductor to agriculture)
And...
$40BN of oil / gas infrastructure destroyed. $10Bn of US military bases in the region destroyed. And this does not reflect the cost from the loss of production in GCC nor the impact of Israeli economy shut down.
You think all this happened through some jedi mind trick ? How is this 'unable to...
Are you listening to Fox ?
Gasoline prices are set globally. No major economy subsidizes them. The only difference is in the US the oil companies are keeping the extra earning. US consumers are paying 35% more for gasoline.
And US exports sweet crude but imports oil from Mexico and Canada...
Pls quote a credible source . I have not been able to verify this. If this is true, then this will be a severe limiting factor. The land bases in the Gulf are not practical. That leaves too much to the carriers to exert aerial dominance. Even with Israel's help, its not possible to do this with...
We are seeing the size of the gun has its limitations. GCC countries got no protection from having the 'gun' on their soil.
And US short term use of overwhelming force for a guaranteed outcome has also made the limitations of the national gun more obvious
It also happens to be one of the countries that the US has a trade surplus with.
Italy also declined landing rights for US aircraft at Sigonella.
US can treat them as if they are not in NATO, and I agree for sake of one country (Israel), it will alienate all the other countries it actually...
The $30Bn spent so far have resulted in $40BN damage in GCC countries, including the oil / gas installations. It does not include impact on their economy and material destruction and impact on economy in Israel.
I doubt the economics work out for us and our allies in this scenario.
As for...
Looks like it wasn't Russians providing targeting information. Iran had procured a satellite to do so.

Chinese‑built satellite in Iranian hands helped track US bases
These along with Taliban and whatever other acronym we choose are just labels used to describe a set of people that don't buy into the narrative of democracy. I don't agree with them, and I don't buy into their idealogy, but like the US military, not agreeing with a group is not a reason to not...
Yes thats your opinion of the Houthis. Neither you nor I live there . They may not have chosen in the civilized manner we may have but then after Jan 6th riot, that line becomes very then.
Yemenis can very well say that US is a dictatorship (regardless of the three branches of Govt were...
