Its extremely hard to defend against a swarm of small drones, especially since Russia is a large country and you don't know where they come from, certainly nobody expected it to come from inside Russia and so deep in Russia.
Some drones will surely penetrate and do damage.

So I don't think Russia showed they are incompetent in this regard, I think they certainly showed they are incompetent in other regards tho.
Considering how long the war is going on and considering that drones are increasingly more valuable on the battlefield and the new era of warfare, its quite shocking and incompetent to have such high valuable assets such as strategic bombers in the open like that, to be target practice for drones.

Certainly they have had enough time and realization to be able to build bunkers/shelters for the strategic aviation.

But seems like not lol.
I think Western intelligence needs to do as much of this as possible through Ukrainian actors. There are a lot of ultra poor Russians that could likely be bought as well. As you noted, Russia is a massive country and with so many of it's assets dedicated to the Ukrainian front, all kinds of it's infrastructure is vulnerable from within. Destroying as many targets from within the country as possible is an excellent (although difficult to execute) strategy. It also serves to terrorize the people and keep them from feeling safe, which brings attention to the war. That would be fantastic.

Although Russia's population is in what seems to be an irreversible decline, focusing on killing individual people is fairly fruitless. Russia has plenty of populous. Where Russia is most vulnerable is that the longer this war goes on, the more they hold their economy together with glue and popsicle sticks. Focusing on the destruction of the vital infrastructure that their civilians rely on for quality of life should be the goal (along with military targets, of course). Forcing Russia into a post war reality in which the Russian people continue to fall behind the rest of the 1st world because their Government bankrupted them in a war, is ideal. Make the people supporting this invasion suffer by subjecting them to a lifetime of hardship. Their suffering is our advantage.

Does this include time when Russia helped Romania to become independent from Ottoman empire or Russian help to Romania during 1st WW?

You are citing events that happened over 100 years ago and before the Soviet Union existed.

Before the existence of Communism, Russia was just another imperial power, like the British, the French, the Austro-Hungarians or the Ottomans. Sometimes they were the “good guys” and sometimes they were the “bad guys”, depending on where you were standing. They were still the most uncivilized of the European imperial powers, but there was nothing exceptional about them.

But since the Bolshevik revolution, the formation of the Soviet Union and the spread of Communism, they bacame the empire of evil.

The old Russia died with the Bolshevik revolution, and they are a force of evil ever since.

Unique footage of the alleged hijacking of a Ukrainian LAV Super Bison armored personnel carrier by a Russian sabotage group. The location of the shooting is not reported. In the video, you can see a Ukrainian driver-mechanic running behind the armored personnel carrier, but he cannot catch up with it. It is possible that the Ukrainian servicemen simply forgot their comrade. We have previously published a video of the hijacking of a Ukrainian tank from the battlefield. LAV Super Bison armored personnel carriers have been produced in Canada since 2020

Take a look, one drone supposedly hit Murmansk at least 2000km away but the rest is within 1200km.
Not realistic.

Then can you please explain why russia puts tires on the wings of their bombers, despite (according to you) Ukraine being not capable to attack them so far away?
Precation,im sure they knew about Ukraine's drone developments and figured they will be able to reach those bases soon.
And with the range of the new drone of 3000km in april 2025,they were right to be cautious.
There are no more limits for Ukraine by the West, from now on Ukraine can reach almost every Russian asset on Russian territory with missiles or drones.

Then I dare you fly some drones over incirlik base or any other military base in Türkiye and see what happens!?!??
Why dont you see the difference?
Russia doesnt have the same threat as we do.
Who would dare fly some drones over any Russian base(Ukraine excluded),even those close to border regions?
Russia doesnt need to protect every base but we do,we have enemies everywhere on all sides.
Russia is big in territory, compare it to our territory,we have to protect every inch.
Before the Ukraine war the only threat for Russia were some sporadic US spy planes/drones,nothing else.
