For Alutsista the most important thing is to get the job done, and looks is not really important, but indeed would be nice to have better appearance.

Perlu dioplas dikit.

I must say that I have to agree with some comments in this tweet

Man, all this news will confuse people like hell, someone might end up having a stroke from it
From what I’ve been able to gather and analyse on the ground here, the KAAN deal is still just an MoU, and the figure of 48 aircraft hasn’t been finalised yet. Interestingly, we originally planned to have 48 KF-X/IF-X units before all the drama surrounding the project.

So, I think that after everything we’ve been through, we’ll probably end up acquiring only 12 to 16 KF-21s as a goodwill gesture, and shift our attention and resources to the KAAN instead.

At least the Turks has developed its own indigenous jet engine for this KAAN (TF35000 by Tusas Engine Industries/TEI), more embargo-proof than KF-21.
So does the missiles and mission system. This is aligned with Prabowo's vision to keep Indonesia stance as a main power-balance broker between all the major powers.

What were the planned numbers throughout the years?
From 50 to 48.

The plan was for 50 unit (of course can add more later if Indonesia wanted).

Now reduced to 48, as for additional order...

KR source:
In July last year, Indonesia signed a memorandum of understanding with Korea to invest in the project in return for acquiring around 50 KF-X fighters.

ID source:
Erris said that both sides agreed to produce some 150 to 200 units of KFX of which Indonesia would get 50 units.

Don’t worry, you will get a maniac Kaan, which is matured more shaped, with canon and maybe a TVC. Maybe.
Imagine F-22 makes a baby with F-35. The ‘baby’ would looks like Kaan. 😅
I hope so, I'm waiting for that second prototype

But KF21 already entered production, while KAAN still in development and will take 10 years to deliver 48 unit to Indonesia (kalau jadi dan tidak ada perubahan).
