NEW/IMPORTANT — According to a senior Iranian political source, Washington gave Tehran prior warning that it would attack Iran’s nuclear facilities.

▪️According to the source, the Trump administration stated that it did not seek a full-scale war and would carry out a one-time strike targeting only Fordow, Isfahan, and Natanz.
▪️The Iranian source claims the facilities were evacuated in advance, and most of Iran’s enriched uranium stockpile was stored in secure locations.

Six US B-2A Spirit strategic bombers struck Iranian nuclear facilities in Fordow, Natanz and Isfahan. The strike used 12 GBU-57A/B bunker buster bombs. Thirty BGM-109 Tomahawk cruise missiles launched from submarines at a range of 600 km were also used. It is worth noting that Iran's nuclear facilities are located underground, at a depth of up to 90 meters, and it is quite difficult to destroy them. According to Iranian media, the facilities were not damaged. The GBU-57A/B bunker buster bomb was developed in the United States and weighs over 13.5 tons, is 6 meters long, and has a diameter of about 80 centimeters. The bomb contains almost 2.5 tons of explosives and is designed to destroy underground targets at a depth of up to 60 meters.

Can't know, but safe to say all those facilities are now unusable whether they are destroyed or not. There are claims that some equipment and fuel was removed before strikes. I don't think this changes much. Iran can no longer hide them underground and they are in the open, which will push them to the table. If the effects are less than required, they can simply do it again a month later, more easily.

I don't think we will see an Iranian nuke this year.

The US informed Iran before bombing so,why would it do that you think?

US didn't inform Iran BEFORE, you misunderstood, US let Iran know after the strikes that these were the only strikes targeting nuclear facilities and US wouldn't conduct any more strikes.

I assume it is an act of "we don't want to kill you but we also don't want you to have nukes" or "we will hit but do not want to escalate it any further". Who knows :)

It was mentioned on CNN and Al Jazeera.
''The US indicated to Iran the operation will be limited.''

Trump to the Iranians:

''Look,i have the Jewish lobby on my ass i have to do something so dont be mad and attack my soldiers in the neighborhood,ok friends?''😁😁😁

But kicking someone in the balls, and then telling him to make peace, is a bit hilarious.

Three initial reactions to U.S. attack on Iran:
1. U.S. may have destroyed enrichment infrastructure but no evidence it destroyed stockpiles.
2. Khamenei will not easily accept unconditional surrender. Some form of retaliation likely. This is not end point.
3. Nationalist anger will go beyond this moment as did 1953 coup
4. No country will feel safe. Many more countries will be thinking about getting the bomb. It is US and not Iran that has shattered the non proliferation regime.

Yes but remember the back and forth by Israel and Iran when sending missiles to each other, they both announced beforehand what and where they were going to hit after Israel attacked the Iranian ''Embassy'' in Syria.
