Think about this, if the integration of ypg into Syria is complete, USA can no more send them weapons freely. Also if ypg decide to do something stupid, Türkiye has now another tool to put pressure on them, the syrian government. Because since ypg will be officially a part of Syria, we can then blame the syrian government too. And imo it will be easier for MIT to gather information about ypg and to infiltrate them.

I'm afraid it's not that simple. Their structure is still there. Remember that the threat isn't that the US is going to arm YPG. At the end of the day most of Syria is flat, no army without an air force can survive an assault from an external force.

The whole problem here is that YPG existing in any way shape or form allows weapons to be transferred from northern Iraq across to Syria and into Türkiye. By allowing YPG to integrate, this means that we've allowed a lot if enemies into the core of the new Syrian government. This will bite us one day and we're going to need to eventually destroy this monster that we've created.

If we seriously consider PKK/YPG to be a terrorist organization, then we should've destroyed it. We don't need to make peace with them to "infiltrate" them. We have every advantage over them, I'm sorry to say but this is all political, it has nothing to do with strategy. No serious state bows down and shakes hands with a terrorist organization.

Imo the worst thing that could happen is ypg trying to do a coup, which will lead to another civil war.

Since the Israel-Iran conflict erupted last year, Turkey has found an unexpected ally: Abdullah Ocalan, the imprisoned leader of the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK).

For months, insiders in Ankara have credited the Turkish government’s outreach to the PKK and other Kurdish parties as part of its strategy to prevent the armed group from becoming a proxy or leverage against Turkey amid the regional rivalry between Iran and Israel.

Turkey has long been concerned about Iranian attempts to use the PKK against Ankara, but Israel’s growing influence in the region and increasingly tense relations also raised fears that the PKK could find yet another partner on the ground.

However, a leaked meeting document reviewed by Middle East Eye indicates that Ocalan, who led an armed struggle against Turkey for nearly 40 years, is strongly opposed to any potential regional dominance by Israel.

The minutes, which detail a meeting between Ocalan and a delegation from the pro-Kurdish Dem Party on 21 April, record the PKK leader’s concerns about the possible "Gaza-ization" of the region, a term he uses to describe Israel’s willingness to attack neighbouring countries at will, potentially leading to the partition of those states.

"Israel has been at this for 30 years. For three decades, Israel has been secretly promising us a state," Ocalan said during the meeting, according to the document.

If Ocalan words were truly true, then it means that Israel has been backstabbing Turkey ever since the PKK was established long ago and that all of their "official" stances regarding standing with Turkey against the PKK long ago was nothing more than a ruse while they aided the PKK and made them stronger ever since the 1990s


He added that Israel was using the media to encourage Kurds to establish an independent state.

"Whoever aligns the Kurds with themselves will gain dominance in the Middle East," he said. "They realized this before I did."

'Gaza-ization' of region​

Ocalan’s anti-Israel stance is well-known, as his group was based in the Bekaa Valley in the 1980s, cooperating with the leftist Palestinian liberation groups. In the document, Ocalan presents himself as the leader who could stop Israel from becoming a hegemonic power in the Middle East.

"The Netanyahu-Trump comings and goings are all about this. It is a five-stage strategy. The first three - Gaza, Lebanon, Syria - are done. Only two remain: Iran and Turkey," he said.

"The goal is to build Israel up as the dominant force shaping Middle Eastern strategy."

Ocalan added that the Kurds are an essential part of this strategy, and he is the only person who could prevent the PKK’s Syrian offshoot, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), or its headquarters from falling under the influence of Iran or Israel.

He also described an exchange of messages with then-Israeli Foreign Minister Yitzhak Shamir in 1982, when Ocalan was based in Damascus under the protection of Syrian President Hafez al-Assad.

"They told me to leave Damascus, that they would give me whatever I wanted," he said, according to the document.

"They said I was a major threat to Israel’s security. Was it the foreign minister then, Shamir - Yitzhak Shamir? - back in 1982, he asked, 'What do you want from us? Why are you using these young people against us?'"

A series of Israeli governments lent political and military support to Turkey in the 1990s, establishing a close alliance with secularist generals at that time.

But under Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the relationship has deteriorated, and Ankara has occasionally accused Israel of indirectly supporting the PKK.

Dividing Syria​

The relationship reached a low point following the war in Gaza, and official Israeli statements regarding "the Kurds," particularly concerning PKK-linked groups in Syria, have since shifted.

In November, Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar openly called for closer relations between Israel and Kurdish communities, saying that his country should reach out to Kurds and other regional minorities that are "natural" allies.

Ocalan said the Israeli intelligence agency Mossad also contacted him in Moscow, where he was seeking refuge from Turkish authorities in 1998, telling him they could hide him even in Russia.

"Israel has prepared all the groundwork for this."

After Assad’s fall in December, Israeli public news outlet Kann reported several engagements between Israel and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), a US-backed armed group led by PKK offshoots.

MEE reported in December that Israel had been planning to divide Syria into four regions, including ones for the Druze and the Kurds, to keep its neighbour weak and divided. The plan has infuriated Turkey.

Ocalan added that Israel’s war on Gaza was already over, and now, he claimed, Israel was seeking to draw the Kurds into a full-blown conflict against Turkey - "into this Gaza-ization process," he said.

In February, Ocalan called for the PKK to disband itself. The PKK leadership, after holding a congress in May, said they would disband and end the armed struggle.

However, Ankara has yet to see any evidence indicating that the PKK is actually in the process of disbanding.

Ocalan, however, says Turkey is entering a major democratisation process through its negotiations with the Kurdish political movement.

"Strategic advantage is shifting to Turkey; only a child would fail to understand this," he said.

"Should we hand that advantage to Israel?"

While many of us deep inside knew the truth even without Ocalan statements, just realising the extent and degree of manipulation of those backstabbing Zionist cu*ts revealed that no nation in the region is a friend of Israel from Israel's own perspective

The SDF (YPG/PKK) insisted on its demands for integration and integration into the army as a bloc within three years (they had requested a three-year extension of the agreement, which expires on August 30th).

The SDF initially refused to surrender Raqqa and Deir ez-Zor.

Syrian and Turkish officials categorically rejected any postponement.

The government blamed Mazloum Abdi for the agreement's failure before the American and French representatives.

Mazloum Abdi requested a timeframe to meet with Qandil leaders regarding the surrender of Raqqa and Deir ez-Zor, and the government subsequently rejected any such request.


According to local Syrian sources, the US side gave the SDF only two weeks, rather than the three-year period they had requested.

According to the sources, the Hasakah region remains a point of contention, and negotiations on this issue will continue today and tomorrow.
