He will either conduct an early election by late 2027 or change the constitution to allow Erdo to run for 3rd term; as far as I know, Erdo only needs around 25 more PMs in parliament to change the constitution without nationwide referendum (I may ge wrong about that last point though)

If he runs again which i hope he doesn't he'll die in Office or he will become an turkish Joe Biden.
I get that he's power hungry but he's already at the top of his might anything else is just continuing what currently is.
I hope hakan Fidan is the next one in line he strikes me more of practical guy that knows when to shut up and when to speak.

It is reported that Ekrem Imamoglu's brother-in-law has been detained in a drug and prostitution operation; some sources are also stating that he was caught red-handed (waiting to be verified)

The upper political elite of Turkey are corrupt to the core regardless of the side you support

As a very important reason for delays in deliveries, I would dare to call it this: the compulsion and drive of perfectionism. I am absolutely convinced that TEI can deliver the TF6000 tomorrow. Even the TF10000 shortly thereafter.

Ladies and gentlemen,

unfortunately, Turkey is on another planet where the abnormal is unfortunately considered normal. Although the current government works with first-class technicians and bureaucrats, if they fail because a product is delivered and something happens, such as a crash due to a TEI product, hell breaks loose in Turkey. Not just TEI, even all defense projects suffer enormous damage.

Ultimately, we live in a country where our own industry, commercial products, and companies have been boycotted, something that has never happened in human history. Everything is done with absolute caution. Everything possible is criticized harshly and negatively.

For example: why only 3 Altay, really only 3??

I can post monthly production figures for the LEOPARD 2. That would surprise everyone, but no one would be ashamed of how the remarkable German tank industry has managed to achieve so little.
In your opinion, how many years does the defense industry need to reach a point of no return, where it becomes irreversible and independent of politics?

Something like that is impossible in Turkey.

As soon as this government is voted out, the dismantling of the arms industry will begin. Immediately...

This has also been said several times by the opposition.

For politicians, yes. They sell us dreams, while technicians and engineers try to make them come true.
It's hardly the layman's fault if the government appointed bureaucrats and the government appointed GMs of the state owned companies are unable to explain very, very simple export control contracts to the governments.

Meh. Anka-3 crashed. What happened? Nothing. A private firm had a mishap the other day, one civilian worker died in an army test range. We don't even know which company he worked for. Government have full control over media; this is not Germany.

TF6000 is not flying today because making an engine is so much more than reaching the claimed maximum power number.

There's no "no point of return". 8 of the 10 largest arms firms we have by revenue are state owned. This is not US, there's no MIC lobby in Turkey.

Let's wait and see. We will all see how quickly and hastily they get to work.

Yeah, just this line is enough for me to disregard all of your opinions. Only brainwashed cultists believe something as illogical as this. There isn't a single shred of truth or proof of that, but do go on.

Babacan DEM Kilicdaroglu and embedded media. Everyone said this as a promise before the election. Black on white, with facts and data...

It will not be forgotten.

All these state-owned companies will be redistributed, leadership positions will be replaced.

"We will touch it" i "Its a model". "It has a lathe wheel underneath......." "SIHAs are genocide tools," etc., etc.

Do not forget. The defense industry will be dismantled so quickly that one cannot believe it. These people have said it and will do it.

Nobody in Türkiye can do that anymore. I don't think the opposition would be that stupid. It would become impossible for them to keep their party in power in the next election.

On the other hand, I don't think for a second that the current opposition will win an election in Türkiye. They don't have a team with that kind of intelligence.

They have no clue that they are eating the fruits of the era which was the apex of public education in this country which was the Anadolu selective high school program (when they were actually selective and merit based) and also the technical know-how transfer, training and expertise which came with montage projects, both starting seriously from late 80s.

These are the two most crucial factors without which you can't do shit: human capital and technical expertise; otherwise every country would just start developing their own indigenous defense industry. This is not a matter of sheer will. If you feed in the strongest of sheer wills to void (in terms of human capital and technical know-how and expertise) you will get void out.

The education system was turned to shit about 15 years ago so in about 5 years time when the country's universities churn out engineers which don't know their ass from their elbow, I'll see how far sheer will will get you.

I heard that former admiral was hoping that TB3 would fall at excise.
Even here , from "Bayrakar is making minimal profits on sale to Turkish armed forces" to " Baykar has this or that privilege" , basically from the same posters., no?
That looks to me pretty cultiste.
I wrong here or we can rewind the tapes?
Oh just to add , someone mentioned German press??? Really? The same press who tried to justify killing if children?
In normal world, those people would get an invitation to The Hague.
There is no such thing as free press, it a bubble gum for foolish people to chew.
I used to read Daily Telegraph, , now it is on the level that I would be ashamed to read it it 12 years old.
So forgot German press, after all Germany is questionablly existing country
Why they don't investigate that in central Berlin, the part which was the part of East, Jews ex USSR officers own 100s of millions of properties which they basically stole. Now , the same ones are" respected " citizens?
I guess, my dear Germany dwelling friends, you have never heard of that

Yes, Baykar get his most revenue from export. But who do you think helped him, to get all these contracts.

I don't care who helped them, I care about results.
One thing I know, when Anka 3 fell , thanks God , there wasn't much damage, but if there was , it would be tax payer money which would cover the cost.
If the same thing happened to Kizilelma, it would be brothers Bayrakatar who would pay
You see , having private businesses requires risk taking, especially in research and development phase.
Someone can open ammunition factory and apart from investment into machinery, there's no risk, especially these days.
I don't think that there is much difference between the shells from 1960 or 2026

Personally I don't understand this sentiment. There's a mythological understanding about laissez-faire markets presupposed in this critique. All major corporations throughout capitalism's history have been in some sense joint-ventures with the state, esp. in terms of foreign policy and gunboat diplomacy forcing opening up of markets and accepting concessions, etc.
