A turbofan engine developed by the Ministry of National Defence R&D Centre, capable of producing 42,000 lbf of thrust.
MSB Arge appeared out of nowhere and are displaying ambitious projects but what credibility do they have. Are they even commisioned to make those things, very unusual and dubious.
This thing is proper weird. Blades? On a gliding munition? Why?
OK stop stop
MSB ARGE (Ministry of National Defence R&D center) of Turkey has developed a 6000 km range ICBM! And if that was not a breakthrough enough, while they were at it, they also have developed a 42000 lb thrust turbofan engine as a sideshow?
I’ll paraphrase from a twitter user here; Bro who’s working at MSB ARGE, aliens?
Minister of National Defence Yaşar Güler:
“If we need to use YILDIRIMHAN, we will do so without hesitation.”
Exactly. That’s the question. So the this engine is a separate project than TF35000?
If they have already started development of a new engine with 42,000 lb thrust, then it stands to reason that they are confident that there will be no problems with the TF35000 engine.OK stop stop

What are we going to do with 50k lbf engine? In a TV interview today Mesut Hakkı Caşın said that Mr Mahmut Akşit said that there is a 50k lbf engine in the works, if you want to believe that.
Their stuff feels like a science fair stand, some mock up of a thing that might exist on a computer somewhere.OK stop stop

What if the KAAN goes unmanned later as 6/7th gen? What are we going to do with 50k lbf engine?
MSB arge engine is similar to the thrust levels of the F135(F35) only usage would be for a single engine fighter jet which was discussed by some analyst kaan being the high end and a single engine stealth being the more economical choice.
You wouldnt expect that from a Turkish state institution,we are not Iran.Their stuff feels like a science fair stand, some mock up of a thing that might exist on a computer somewhere.
Maybe but if the intention is propaganda they would just build bigger bombs and missiles. Some of the stuff is actually useful and an IRBM would not be an economical choice but would bolster our deterrence if it is precise but not as a mono block missile with one warhead.Their stuff feels like a science fair stand, some mock up of a thing that might exist on a computer somewhere.
