I saw the news but I don't see why we would need investment for getting an export contract? At most (and worst) our shipyards would switch some production to their ships but what kind of "investment" could we get "blackmailed" into for this?
I don't understand why Americans don't build modernized version of Oliver Hazard Perry class frigates. Even Germans cancelled F126 and decided to go with new Meko A200 frigates which was originally designed in 80s. Just update machinery, sensors, weapons and use automation to decrease crew numbers .

As an integrator probably. Nice accounting trick too, Aselsan sells to Baykar, Baykar exports it, double the money. That's how big ones do business.

So it's Baykar doing the exporting, not ASELSAN, correct? The export numbers go to Baykar's account, right?
