The Leopard 1 armour is so weak, even a 30/35 mm round would make Swiss cheese, perhaps except the front....and when you uoparmour it, there goes the power/weight ratio....the 105 mm gun? Not up to the task against relative modern tanks, fitting it with a 120 mm gun, well the turret can't handle...
