On paper, fighting on the ground started only in 1940, and then stopped. Battles fought in the Mediterranean, Africa, and the Atlantic and the air war compared with the battles on the Eastern front were only skirmishes. In the Gaza ghetto, the majority of dead people are children and women.

This comparison doesn't have any sense, because Germans were fighting from 1939. and Japanese even before that, while US and UK started real fighting only in 1944. and even that is not near the scale like on the Eastern front.

Main problem with this theory is that Russian forces advance so their dead and wounded stays on territory under their control
