direct link I love seeing how almost everyone in our marine korps, even the artillery branch is equipped with the plate carrier even during exercise at this level. I wish they stop adding shit songs into the video and just use the natural sound.

No lah, just look at the other line of Kaplan from FNSS, none of them looks like that, and certainly none of them appears to have issues with the centre of gravity towards the aft https://www.fnss.com.tr/en/products/kaplan-mt

What Mado is saying is this; Here Pindad, as per our co-agreement, take this existing platform developed by us (FNSS) and designed it to the requirement of the local market, and then you can even stick your own sticker on it for distribution in that local/regional market.

WTF is even his comments? THIS GUY is the lead designer? No wonder the prototype came out like a soapbox on track, thank god the Turkish people are there and were kind enough to fix his mess. It is literally his job (and his team) to do the proper Requirements Engineering, properly documents...

Depends on the potential threat they are facing and their fleet specialization as well as tasking within the battle group. Besides, when / If our version of IH launches, and if it launches with the current specs of 72 VLS, 144m in length, and potential displacement of 6500 - 7800 tonnes it may...

Worth remembering, the Type 45 is a good couple thousand tonnes heavier than the Orrizonte/Horizon, with propulsion systems that can be only considered as marginally different to Orrizonte/Horizon and yet rated to go at least 5 knots faster than the Orrizonte/Horizon. Yet they're surprised when...

Interesting contrast in doctrine there in the Air Assault video, when it comes helo infill and providing security for the bird to depart the LZ

Didn't realize Type 45 was made in France, but well, if the self-proclaimed prophet says so, I guess. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I tend to agree tbh with wekiweko's point, the risk & reward just isn't worth it IMO. I think the 90mm should already fall into individual level within weapon/support squad. The risk is too high to have "only" 90mm fire support in a thinly armoured vehicle crewed by 3 personnel that will most...

Ah yes, obtuse literalism. Because god forbid to waste all that brainpower for critical thinking when it's already written there. Fancy new toy for our SAR guys

To be honest I always assume the Mk 109 as LCA and the conversion trainer for the squadron operating Mk 209 (1st & 12th), similar to the F-16B to F-16A. But you're right we might also use it for LIFT, so we currently have more than enough LIFT aircraft.

The number that we have now with the new order (21? or 22?) for LIFT is already quite a good ratio in comparison to the number of our front-line fighters IMO. Countries like Australia only operate 33 LIFT to the almost 100 front-line fighters that they operating (F-35 & SuperBug), Singapore has...

I know right? Kids these days SMH:p. Back in the day, we would get rock hard just by hearing we're going to get T-64 Bulat ex-Ukrainian stock and 2nd hand Mirage 2000-5! But now all about "oh when is the 2A7? When is the F-15EX? The Rafale? The FREMM?" Jeez, I'm still pinching myself every now...

I hope so too. Ideally, simultaneously we should keep "spamming" those OPV 80M and the Tanjung Datu for Bakamla. Depending on the development in SCS and the urgency surrounding ut, we may have to compromise and pick our priority, whether we want more hull at a slightly faster rate or let PAL...

Hence the "If" in my statements, and that's a big if too. However, I can't help to feel optimistic gauging from the reaction of the general population on the Kemenhan Rp 1,700 trillion shopping budget, which was generally positive I thought (as in there's no major backlash). So hopefully things...

I'd even say we could match or slightly pass RAN if the projects are able to be executed in time and on budget. As things stand, several RAN major project is at risk of overtime and over budget (last I heard the CEAFAR is still too heavy for Type 26, and the Attack class sub still haven't left...

From what I remember, RAF actually rent its MRTT fleet exclusively from Air Tanker Service with some that is applicable to be rented out to a third-party (usually to Thomas Cook airline), but these ones are the without the Boom-tail refueler, only the wing mounted drogue-pod.
