If you read my post properly you would see that it is the maximum velocity this missile achieves. Due to it’s lower weight and being ballistic it would have a terminal velocity of just over 1Mach. Just check page 20 post#394 Israeli rampage missiles have suppressed trajectories and perform...

SOM series, KGK and HGK bombs are stealthy. Atmaca and CAKIR rely on low flight characteristics and manoeuvrability. Please feel free to add more. Those are what I could think of. Level of stealth of our SOM series is supposed to be very good. If memory serves it was designed with more...

    TR UAV/UCAV Programs | Anka - series | Kızılelma | TB - series

There is also some very important points that needs to be remembered: Çakır uses an air breathing engine for propulsion and is subsonic (0.75-0.85 Mach). It has been designed to sink a surface ship. At least take it out of commission. (it has a warhead weight of 70kg) It is expensive albeit not...

TR F-16 Özgür | Hürkuş - Fighter Trainer Aircraft Projects

Let’s not go back to page 152 , post#3022 where there are written documents that this radar was to be installed on planes by 2016 and onwards. This project was in the pipeline around 2011s. If you move the goalpost to the latest declaration of delivery/integration date, then your 6 months delay...

TR F-16 Özgür | Hürkuş - Fighter Trainer Aircraft Projects

All of the above are valid points that could well have happened. But at the end of the day for us mere mortals waiting to see our own radar performing on those planes and not seeing it happen is most frustrating. Especially after being given dates, year after year. We seem to have too many...

TR F-16 Özgür | Hürkuş - Fighter Trainer Aircraft Projects

@Strong AI We are awaiting an Aesa radar integrated on our Özgür F16 planes. Not a test model for Akinci. I remember in 2014, Aselsan and then SSB bragging about having Aesa radars fitting process starting on all our f16s by 2016. Since that day we’ve heard every year “end of this year” or...

TR F-16 Özgür | Hürkuş - Fighter Trainer Aircraft Projects

It may have all the bells and whistles to do with avionics, flight and targeting computers etc etc. But without the Murad Aesa radar that plane is a lion with no teeth. Aselsan has lagged badly behind schedule with the Özgür’s Aesa project. That radar should have been on that plane a few years...

TR Air-Force TF-X KAAN Fighter Jet

Well it all depends on how quickly US can integrate some of the improvements being tested by the engine manufacturers, on to the plane. There is going to be a new Aesa radar with GaN based TR modules. This will be accompanied by new avionics. A new engine is in the pipeline. Although P&W is...

SRBM damage on runways can be easily repaired. Multiple Cruise missile bomb damage did not take out Syrian air strip out of action for long. Even specially built runway bombs like BLU-107 Durandal which lands on runways in clusters and destroys it in multiple places can be repaired. Greece has 6...

M May I ask what you are going to do with 2 x TF10000 engines with afterburners on a flying wing? I guess you know that no one in the world uses afterburner engines with flying wings? Apart from augmenting take off power (which is silly for a flying wing due to it’s high lift design) an...

Read the first paragraph again in it's entirety please. There is no mention in my article about tf6000 or ts1400. Nevertheless A 3rd generation single crystal will have the same parameters and specifications wherever it is being used. F119 engine when first flying serial production f22s were...

TR Air-Force TF-X KAAN Fighter Jet

It is Dr Aksit who mentioned it. He said we could produce an engine like f119 that powers f22 at TEI. He stated that TFX will need an engine that will develop a thrust level of 35000lbf with afterburners. F119 has a wet thrust of 35000lbf and a dry thrust of 26000lbf.

TR Air-Force TF-X KAAN Fighter Jet

With a TF35000 it will. Unofficially F22 has been recorded to achieve 1.8 Mach supercruise speeds with it’s (35000lbf wet) 26000lbf dry thrust F119 engine.

TR Air-Force TF-X KAAN Fighter Jet

35000lbf thrust is achieved with afterburners. Dry thrust(without afterburners) should be around 26000lbf if it is synonymous to a F119 engine. Supercruise is 1+ Mach speed without afterburners. But US defines it as 1.5 Mach without afterburners. To achieve this our plane will need engines not...

    TR Propulsion Systems

Do you want to learn how to produce a Lada when you are geared up to produce and being taught how to produce a Mercedes S class ? Our only deficiency is the lack of an eco system to produce a complete jet engine. You need a long line of manufacturers/subcontractors that can produce every bit of...

    TR Propulsion Systems

Ukraine’s engine technology is so antiquated that I doubt they will be of any use to TEI. They are still using turbine blades cast with directionally solidified blade tech. TEI is however able to produce 3rd generation single crystal blades which are of the same quality as those used in F119...
