https://defencehub.live/threads/turkish-attack-utility-helicopter-programs.9/page-46 When asked if there will be a naval version of T-625 Gokbey and T-929 heavy attack helicopter for TCG Anadolu, Mr Kotil responded by saying, for now we are thinking of naval version of T-929. That is good news...

Is this TS1400 that measured as a 1600HP engine on tests? I thought it was already delivered to be tried on Gokbey! Or is there another one?

Exactly. As such a device’s presence can’t be known, we can only guess and use conjecture. Even if there is, they will never admit it’s presence and we will never know. If any country knew such a device is fitted on their plane they wouldn’t be very willing to buy that plane. It is a good idea...

Can you give us concrete proof that what you claim can be done by the push of a button? Or is it just a generalisation that if US wants to ground any county’s F35 fighters, they can do it by stopping spares etc? Because that statement is a bit vague!

To add to your post re f16 crashes; TAF has bought 280 f16s in total through Peace Onyx program. Today we have 245 F16s. (87 of these are used as trainers) So we have lost 35 planes.

It is a valid argument in the sense that these countries have made a conscious choice (like we had until we were kicked out - we were those countries once) to purchase these planes knowing exactly how much they are technically going to be dependent on US. US supporting PYD and clashing with us...

You are free to believe in whatever you want to believe. But just think that if this plane were such a security problem as it is made out to be, why on earth countries like UK, Netherlands, Italy, Norway, Canada, Australia, Japan, SKorea, Denmark, Poland, Belgium and Singapore have ordered these...

I am afraid it is not quite as drastic as you have portrayed here. The ALIS - Autonomic Logistics Information System that the F35 planes have, is actually like a small laptop device that contains mission and flight information and is pushed in to a slot on the cockpit by the pilot before each...

TR Altay Main Battle Tank & Related Programs

M60T Sabra modernisation has proved to be very effective. It has shown how survivable this tank becomes in live battlefield conditions. We have now updated these tanks further in to M60TM configuration. We can do these modernisations in house. They need a 1000hp MTU engine. We have an...

If you want to be paranoid about it, then we shouldn’t buy any planes whatsoever from US. We all know that the indigenous way is the way to go. But do not forget that every single technical advance we managed up till now, has it’s roots at the Western know how given to us and western tech we...

F35 may have it’s drawbacks. But they are great planes that will tip the scales to the side of the airforce using them. Yes, if you do not have the source codes and freedom to integrate your own weapons, it is a drag! It ties you dependent on US origin weapons. But to have a couple of squadrons...

Will Turkey Seek Chinese Or Korean Fighters If F-16 Request Is Denied?

To tell you the truth, the only thing that really is great about this plane is that, it has a very agile airframe that performs really well with a comparatively small engine like f414 and it’s GaN based Aeas radar on the new E and F versions. Biggest down side , apart from all those US and...

Super Cobras are old and a bit outdated. But they are built as sea worthy attack helicopters, and most importantly can still be very much in use. Will Turkey Seek Chinese Or Korean Fighters If F-16 Request Is Denied?

Good question! Saab Gripen is a very capable plane. But made by Sweden; a staunch critic of Turkish government. Some may say, “money is king”. But the Plane itself is not that much more advanced to warrant it as a stop gap. Eurofighter is probably the best 4+ class there is. But the German...

They seem to be doing something at the back of the ship. Arresting wire system? When “fully” operational with the correct equipment, this is going to be one hell of a ship for our navy. No matter how much you are a critic of it, being too expensive to build and maintain, it is an undeniable...
