Am I seeing right? The lines and geometry of the design is analogous to a stealth geometry. I wonder if they succeeded to bring down the RCS value of the helicopter as well! Too many flat surfaces!
Let‘s throw a spanner in the works!
Where is the Mildar?
Mildar is a force multiplier for a helicopter like Atak . Surely there must be a place to accommodate it!
It is true that the Russians have knowingly bombed our soldiers in Idlib. May they rest in peace!
But unfortunately you put these events and it’s effects to one side when it is for the greater good of the country.
Chinese have just started using indigenous engines only recently. Still at early...
Then you do not get what I am saying! You are thinking too simple!
Russians are the ones that want to sell them. It doesn’t hurt to hear them.
It also leaves doors open. Because they are not going to agree to our conditions 100%, the discussions mat be prolonged until we know where we stand...
I am very much against using eastern block technology and equipment. All our defence set up is geared for western tech. But having said that I think it would not hurt to discuss and leave doors open.
Chinese planes are still very much dependent on Russian engines. Their main point of reference...
So are these going to be CODAD propelled , weaponless OPV2100 ships? If so why bother?
You are saying +4 ! Does that mean planned quantity is 6 altogether?
https://www.c4defence.com/en/message-from-russia-to-turkey-we-are-ready-to-negotiate-for-su-35-and-su-57/
Not the Su35 but Su57 should be discussed on the table if they are prepared to supply quickly together with their own airforce’s order, say 30-40 planes with source codes to enable us to fit...
https://www.savunmasanayiidergilik.com/tr/HaberDergilik/Turk-Deniz-Kuvvetlerine-Anka-teslimati
Turkish navy has received 2 more Anka weaponised UAV’s from Tusas.
These are satcom version of the UAV with extended range.
Keep them coming boys!
So let’s get this straight! These are the “OPV” ships we have been discussing here last few days. But will be produced with Milgem Corvette design parameters and specifications.
Does that mean they will be F class ships?
Or are they 2 new Milgem Corvette ships that will be produced in addition...
Ukraine paid 69 million dollars for 6 tb2’s , 3 ground control units and 200 mam-l weapons.
https://www.defenceturkey.com/en/content/baykar-delivered-second-batch-of-tb2-ucavs-to-ukraine-3760
This is something we will have to speculate, rather than know as it involves control units, who is buying it etc. etc.
But one thing we know that Mr Bayraktar himself said that the cost of 12 TB2‘s was equal 1/5th of the cost of 10 Herons for which we paid 250 million in 2010.
That puts it as...
Yes that is possible. But Atmaca is not a stealthy missile! It is a sea skimming missile. So , say a frigate with a radar mast of approximately 35m can see the Atmaca flying 1m above sea level, from 25km away. This gives the frigate 40 seconds reaction time for defence. This is hard but...
If you investigate in detail all the missiles you have quoted when in “air-launched” form are around 630-690kg in weight and 3.8-4.6m in length.
Harpoon air launched : 690kg & 3.8m
Exocet air launched ((M39) : 670kg & 4.6m
RBS15 Mk3 air launched : 630kg & 4.3m
All these...
Orka can be launched from Aksungur. SOM-J is going to be launched from Akinci. For our own use I would prefer these platforms. Much cheaper and less dangerous for us!
Atmaca is a big missile. Over 800 kg in mass and ~ 5.2 metres. According to specs of this aircraft the wing maximum weight limit...
This Ukraine AI-35 engine news is baffling!
Alexander Ivchenko (AI) engines are produced by Motor Sich. (Like TEI)
Ivchenko Progress is a design company. (Like TR Motor) Does NOT produce engines.
Motor Sich, produces AI-25 engines but NO AI-35 engines.
Ivchenko Progress has a design for AI-305...
In this configuration and at 50+ million dollar each (India is thinking of 62 of these for 3+billion dollars) and carrying live pilots , they are not as expendable as an Akinci or Aksungur UAV which are less than half the cost.
That is if they are only to be used as bombers! Then my money is on...
If you listen to Mahmut Aksit, you will understand that GE has made TEI, what it is today. All the machinery they brought over and know how of turbine engine building TEI has accumulated has GE written under it.
We are reaping the benefits of what GE has given us.
We still need them going...
