Guys don't get your hopes up for the design you've seen here. They're obviously showcasing the older design with an updated camo paint :) We know how it might end up looking like. We've covered this issue multiple times. The design you see here, is from 2017. It's just like the mock-up which is...
Me neither. Yet I can positively confirm what I wrote above. Used to work with him. And anyone who has worked with him would tell you the same thing. It's not a surprise though. TAI is owned by the state (sort of). Much like Turkish Airlines.
For the TB2 to be effective you need air superiority to a degree as well. The Akinci might be bigger but it's covered with RAM paint unlike the TB2. But again, due to its size, general design and price the TB2 is the best option here. You're making a good point with the air superiority argument.
Dunno how to feel about this... F110's will be powering the prototypes. Wouldn't Pakistan need to integrate a Chinese power unit in order to fly their own TF-X fighters (if the program is merged) ASAP? There is no way we are selling them TF-X's with American engines installed. I feel like there...
I like Temel Kotil as a person. He does his job well. Very hardworking individual. However, anyone who has worked with him during his career (I'm referring to his THY and TAI days) would know that he is an AKP dude. Now I don't want to start a political argument here, just clarifying certain things.
By previous design are you referring to the mock-up? Yes it does look quite a bit different. Function over form, we already knew that aesthetically pleasing design wasn't gonna last :/ Design activities aren't finished though, and I think there will be multiple differences between the prototypes...
It seems the engineering simulator of Hurjet received some updates bois. The canopy is certainly new! The overall design is, unsurprisingly, mimicking the prototypes.
