Not really.
The Lousanne treaty says clearly that Turkey has to keep the lanes open for free passage. Exceptional cases like storm, accidents etc. is not the same like restriction.
About regulation, we do not even have the right to enforce guide captains on board of these ships, you figure out...
I don't care what opposition thinks or is opposing, I have my own brains to think.
Many projects have their pro's and con's, but the Canal Istanbul project simply fails to make sense.
It could make sense if Turkey would say, hey once the canal is ready I will close the Bosphorus passage all...
Dear Emrachi, these are not the same things.
You make a canal but you have a huge passage called Bosphorus next to it. It is like having two entrances into a circus tent, at one entrance you ask money to the people to get in but the other entrance is totally free.
Now how are you gonna...
How reliable is this
Oğuzhan Uygun?
Who is he and on what basis can we take him as a source?
It's not my intention to bash anyone, I don't know the guy that's why I am asking. We cannot just blindly trust any twitter account.
On the contrary, as Muslim Turks are already regarded as a "danger" and as Turk you cannot get far in politics.
Just years ago in the Netherland two Turkish Dutch politicians refused to recognize the Armenian genocide view of their party and they were kicked out of the party. These two...
Missiles do not look very accurate, nor do they show precision towards a target. It can be that the development is still ongoing but like this it does not look very useful yet.
It's possible but unlikely, radar gives so much more effectiveness.
You can also use BVR missiles and get the target info from AWACS, but again there are many strings and limitations attached.
The extra power of 2x750hp is likely needed for powering the radar and additional systems like...
Those active Akinci drones in Batman are the Akinci A model. These ones do not have AESA radar, so A2A missiles are very unlikely (not impossible)
The Akinci B (2x750hp engine) is supposed to get the AESA integrated, tests of Akinci B are continuing and radar integration will probably commenced...
Wow you guys must have strong eyes, I watched the vid several times and cannot recognize A2A missiles (not saying there are none, I can't see them without doubt)
You can copy the shape, but if the software is not adequate and the features like the flight height, stealthiness than you will only be good for taking pictures
I differ of opinion
It is not about Otokar or FNSS taking the project or that I have a preference between any of our companies but it is about professionalism.
If either Otokar or FNSS had taken the project they would have made sure the engine deliveries with a contract (or let MTU pay...
It's an absolute disgrace how the tank project is handled. Not only Altay but also Leopard 2A4 upgrade. There are also conflicting news about BMC tank engine development, I have no hard confirmation but also there things do not go as supposed to be.
That said I do not think that tanks are less...
If you watch SSB closely they do not talk about "milli" engine but they talk about "yerli" engine.
Rolls Royce has only the F136 engine that is of same diameter as the F110 engine, the EJ200 is a much smaller diameter engine.
So it is simple mathematics, TFx is designed to house F110 engine...
I suspect that Rolls Royce will use the F136 engine as base for the TFx engine.
For the F35 project two engines were developed:
- F135 by Pratt & Whitney
- F136 by Rolls Royce / GE
With Defence budget cuts of the US congress the F135 was chosen to be the sole engine for the F35 program, but...
