I’m not an engineer, but those numbers sound pretty good. Tbh KF-21 for 65 mio. usd or even 80 due to inflation would still be a very good price considering the tech level.
How good/diversified is the supply chain ?
Also Composit structure is pretty amazing, but how sturdy is the composit...
Perhaps the 2nd generation will be with unmanned turret, but I imagine that 100+ will be with manned turrets to give us time to work on unmanned turrets.
I also think the manned tanks will be out on the field with UAV/drone above to scan for possible threats with ATGM and such. Either to warn...
KF-21 is f'ing beautiful. I don't get why people are bothering with what generation it belongs to. if KF-21 is better than Gripen or F16 VII then it's fucking good enough for the purpose it was made.
I'm curious on whether SK will have a wingman type drone or if KF-21 is going to be as is...
Perhaps the reason for testing an older tried engine is due to the reliability. I would probably prefer the first 250 Altay to have same engine even if it means an older one as long as it's reliable. The next 250 could be based on a newer tech.
It’s the governments fault. They should have ensured productionline was filled enough to keep people active. Especially considering how old some of our f16 are.
Looks amazing. Makes me wonder if ULAQ will have some sort of AD as well. With any of the setup. E.g. Orka+sungur+12,7mm. Considering how warfare doctrins are changing and with UCAV I think ULAQs, UAV and UCAV will be waging the wars while the real expensive vessels and such will remain far away...
Establishing bordergate and full control aka like China and registering everyone passing by is likely what it may end up. People unwanted can be prevented from entering, and illegal entry and people involved in it should be banished and/or tried. Give huge fine 1 mio usd and force them to leave...
Will US vls systems be swapped out with MIDLAS. And how easy will it be to swap it out. I’m thinking of those countries in the world who may have vls.
I am not so sure US will deliver any AShM to us anymore.
