Not going to happen. It would have been better militarily to let the refugees invade EU in 2016. Would force EU to use Greece as refugee camp country, but we know who screw up that, RTE. They’d have so many problems now we could deal with YPG/PKK easily. Now we have a rabid dog on west and east...
A quagmire would suite AKP. Time it too soon and it’ll be costly. Time it too late and you won’t reap the benefit of TSK flexing it’s muscles. For the elections in 2023.
The budget likely has restrictions to only cover ammunitions of existing systems.
The credit of sorts will only cover purchase from EU and US approved systems.
Well it’ll definitely break the cogs of joining EU and many other issues. Plus it’ll give EU an excuse to sanction Turkey. Considering how AKP has been granting citizenship to Syrians en masse. It’s like when Ottomn lost their wits nd started doing dumb things.
I don’t think it’s going to...
Accoding to tweet it could be Azerbaycan, Ukraine or Pakistan. I am not sure Pakistan is going to pick us when they can get them from China. And Ukraine is also unlikely receiver atm. That leaves Azerbaycan.
Smaller variant, quadpacked or loadable on sungur launcher would be good. Our troops needs small and smart solutions to increase their firepower on missions.
Balancing those ties is going to be a nightmare. If only Turkey had her own fighter jet in the air now. Would it be easier to juggle those ties.
that’s how important it is for a predominant muslim country to have a solid defense industry.
Perhaps moving the talk about missiles to relevant thread would get more ppl to join in the conversation.
I seriously hope TSK starts an operation and clean out the ypg. Kamisli is ver important imo because of fertile soil and oil as well as being neighbor to Iraq
Waste of ressources I’d say Aselsan and MKE should be able to handle that. What matters is their willigness and other companies willingness to use own/ domestic turret.
handicap/ no battletestet turret so will difficult to export it.
I remember someone (maybe it was @Anmdt ) who mentioned that aselsan and fnss were working on a Turret together so I really hope to see 105 and 120 mm coming out in a surprise move and soon.
