When I read that the Russian ship in Berdyansk was identified and destroyed as a result of appearing in a 'propaganda video', I thought, bull-shite. The timing and impact of the attack could have only been a result of good quality intelligence that was given to the Ukrainians.
Another couple of reasons:
1) To avoid a situation like the Afghanistan withdrawal, where billions of dollars worth of Western weapons are left behind by a surrendering Ukrainian army and captured by the Russians.
2) For Russia to exhaust its precision missiles and list of targets in Ukraine...
