The only way that Russia and Iran can redeem their image is if they assist with bombing YPG to pieces. Not going to happen, but if they did do that they could return to the picture, albeit with much less power than before.
Israel's biggest strength is that its enemies are stupid, angry and self destructive. We all know about how Mossad pulled strings that radicalized the Palestinian movement. To them, the biggest threat is a large neighbouring state with an educated population, advanced technological capabilities...
If he is indeed in that plane, I have a feeling that he could be heading to Cyprus, Greece or Serbia, with the end goal of getting to Russia, probably the only place where he will be safe.
This is honestly astonishing.
I don't even think that it's the rebel's tactics, weapons or numbers... it truly seems like the biggest factor here is the weakening of Iran and Russia. The whole Axis is hollowed out and therefore Assad has very little to back him up.
With all this said, I think...
We've seen militias capturing towns quickly before.. The issue comes once the enemy uses air power.
I don't think Assad will just let Aleppo go so easily. If the regime senses that we won't back SNA with air and anti-air assets, they might think they can get away with flattening Aleppo.
I'm hoping that we can at least provide SNA some support from the air plus some MLRS action.. We need to strike hard early on and make it clear to SAA and YPG that they need to back off.
We'll see what unfolds in the next few days. But as discussed before, we've f*cked up our foreign policy beyond belief.
In Syria:
The USA is against us
Russia is against us
Iran is against us
Assad is against us
YPG/PKK is against us (obviously)
Iranian backed militias are against us
I know...
On Turkish MFA's post about the attack on a Turkish ship there were countless people celebrating... of course the usual suspects (Islamists).
These people have lost the plot since the Israel-Hamas war started. They've been frothing at the mouth at everything opportunity, trying to damage...
Not too sure, haven't watched it. But yeah VTOL would be a huge task, may as well work on a nuclear carrier with a catapult system... Unless TSK wants VTOL or STOL for other purposes too such as wartime runway shortages.
